I have a two speed pump for the filter system for an above ground pool. Like to use the higher speed for vacuuming. When connecting the vacuum hose to the pool strainer, the suction created would collapse the hose running to the pump. These reinforced Sealproof hoses are tough, don't collapse, and will likely last me for many seasons.

One of my filter hoses split and started leaking. In the process of fixing it I realized that my existing hoses (standard off the shelf pool hoses) seem to last about 2 to 3 years before failing, are cheaply made but aren't cheap to buy so I decided to give this hose a try. Price wise they are very comparable but construction wise this one is head and shoulders above the others. It seems the other hoses fail from the outside in as they get damaged by the sun and become somewhat brittle. I haven't had this hose installed long at this time but I suspect this material will survive UV damage much better than the others. I'll update this review next year if it doesn't fare well but I suspect that this is going to be my new go to pool hose.

I needed a sturdy 1.5” hose that is flexible enough to be installed easily in a tight space (camper van water intake to holding tank), and will also compress with hose clamps. This product performed perfectly and is very durable.

Love this hose. Better quality than the ones you can buy at the pool places or hardware stores. Also, I enjoy that you can see through it in case there is some sort of obstruction. But, you need to prepare. This is the difference in you having a 5 star experience vs 1 star. First, have someone else help you uncoil the hose and stretch it out. Turn it the opposite direction it is coiled while your partner is doing the same and move away from each other until it is stretched out. It is firm at first but moves and bends to do anything you want it to do after the initial uncoiling. Next, but very important, make sure you put some vaseline or hose lube on the fitting you are going to put the hose on. Otherwise, you will just get pissed off and end up thinking the ID of the hose is too small. It is not, it is meant to be snug so as not to leak. Clamps that come with it work fine. Just position them well and tighten in between the grooves. I rarely post reviews, but I felt really good about this product. I installed this about a month ago and really like it. Just need to prep well!

Excellent well built and should last a very long time. I bought intex hose adapters and cut the hoses to length
