The furnace room has a switch on the wall. It looks like a typical light switch. However its not and instead it shuts off the HVAC. And this has happened at least twice, by accident. It's just automatic to turn the light switch off except this is not for a light. The last time this happened we couldn't sleep. It kept getting hotter & hotter until I realized it wasn't just me - the room was getting hot. Got up and realized the AC was no longer on. Remembering my spouse had gone into the furnace room, I checked knowing the switch-issues in the past. Sure enough it was turned off. Messed up the thermostat and it wasn't turning back on, so I was googling how to fix this issue in the middle of the night. It resolved itself within an hour (it's a Honeywell Home pro series model) which is what the 'fix' said it would probably do. But this sleepless night was all due to a switch that shouldn't be where it is, or at least have a guard protecting it. This thing installed easily in one minute. Highly recommend.

We have these covering our lights in class. We have a few special needs kids who love turning the lights on and off. It has helped tremendously! We have a colored pencil hanging close by to turn the lights on and off. I’m sure we could have got something different but it is what we had right there since we are a class 😂Easy to install to!

I wish I had known of these years ago. We have two separate light switches that power on/off important outlets. Visitors, cleaners, health aides, accidentally turn them off.This was so simple to install and look fantastic. This is much better than the freezer tape I had covering both.We can still use the switches, we have a few plastic letter openers that fit the side slot, but we rarely need to flip them off.It is just a great product for us.

It was easy to install. It fit my outlet plate perfectly.

This does its job. It keeps my toddler from being able to turn the light switch close to his crib on and off. However, it is very difficult to get to the switch if you need to. We keep a pencil nearby if we need to turn light on/off, but it’s kind of a pain.

This is a two minute job to protect a toggle switch from being accidentally moved, yet still have the ability to turn it on and off.I love that there are removable snap off tabs on each side if you want to removed the, although I didn't bother as there are also small holes in the top to allow access to the switch operation with a thin pencil/screwdriver/toothpick.Wish I had seen these years ago!

I use these on my automatic flood light switches, so they don’t get turned off.

I was looking for a solution that would allow me to keep kids from accidentally turning off outside lights that I want to stay on at all times. Also, for ceiling fans that I want to leave running at all times. These were the perfect solution. I also wanted to make sure it was something that would not hold the switch in a position in such a way that made it difficult to turn off. These were great because you can use a pencil to stick inside the cover and turn the light switch off if you need to. Also, being clear, they don’t look bad on the light switch at all. Would highly recommend it would definitely buy again.

Bought these for use in our childcare centres to prevent accidental or unwanted flipping of light switches. They installed quickly and easily, and are very effective at what they're designed to do. These covers are quite subtle too so they don't look weird on the walls. Very happy considering the low price!
