ONE OF MY FAVORITES!
My Review: May Contain SpoilersThis story is about Alex and Eve who have been mentioned since book one. The only thing we really know about them is that they were married and divorced.Something bad happened between and they lost all the connection between them. Yet they scene together all the time because even though they are divorced they cant let each other go.This is what I understood after reading the first three books in this series, but when I read this book, I had not read any of the other books. This was my first Lexi Blake book and I had no previous knowledge of the Hero and heroine. But reading the description I was deeply interested.Turns out Alex and Eve worked at the FBI prior to coming to McKay-Taggart and they had a case that went terrible wrong and Eve suffered horribly for it.When Alex and Eve worked in the FBI together they were a happy married couple. Almost like a power couple. After Eve is horribly hurt, Alex focuses on who hurst Eve and not helping her. After some time of this a distance opens up in their relationship and Eve asks for a divorce and Alex doesn’t fight her, he gives in.Fast forward five years later they are now working at McKay-Taggart, and stuck in relationship that isn't fulfilling either one of them. But they can't seem to let go of one another.Alex gets a lead on the people that hurt Eve and he can't resist running after the lead. Eve is thinking Alex's obsession might just be the end for them.Instead she decides to help Alex and in going undercover with Alex. Alex will stop at nothing to make sure Eve is safe.He cant bear the thought of anyone hurting her again.Alex is so in love with Eve that it hurts, but you can feel how much this couple deserves to be together. Eve is just as in love with Alex. They start to find a way back to each other. And a way to bridge the gap that was between them. They also finally talk it all out, every nitty gritty detail. While Eve starts to find her way back to Alex, she loses a bit of the stubbornness that has kept them apart for so long. Which opens up a ways for them.Alex and Eve are betrayed by someone they thought they could trust and situation gets really intense.Thank goodness they have McKay-Taggart back up.Wrap Up:Alex and Eve finally had to get real with one another and think about the situation they found themselves in.Alex finally realized he was setup by someone he thought he could trust, someone that was his friend. Alex and Eve had to deal with the situation at hand and find a way back to each other.I loved getting an update on some of the other McKay-Taggart characters. And what they are doing now. McKay-Taggart is a family of people who faced something terrible at one point in their live and found a way to make something beautiful out of it.Would I Recommend:I loved reading this book and watching Alex and Eve finally talk about everything that they never did before.I would definitely recommend this book! If I could give it more than five stars I would! I absolutely love this book.I love how Lexi Blake made you understand the heartbreak and love Alex and Eve shared and how they found a way back to each other.Again Ms. Blake writes flawed characters and again I fall completely in love with them.

Another must have from Lexi Blake!
On Her Master's Secret Service is the fourth book in the Masters and Mercenaries series. Throughout the series, we have been witness to the complicated relationship that Alex and Eve had. They were divorced but continued to maintain a sexual relationship. The readers have been witness to many verbal altercations between these two and fans have been chomping at the bit to delve into their relationship. Well Ms. Blake does not disappoint. On Her Master's Secret Service is a moving, emotional look into the healing power of love.Alex and Eve were happily married when the unthinkable happened. A madman that Alex, an FBI agent, was tracking kidnapped and tortured Eve for seven days. She lived but the experience fundamentally changed both and their marriage was a casualty. But they couldn't walk away from each other. Alex continued to serve as Eve's master but only within the narrow constraints that Eve insisted upon. They found themselves unable to share their true thoughts and feelings and this lack of communication kept them apart emotionally. Alex would not give up his plans for revenge and when a lead came in, Alex dropped everything to give his wife the security he didn't provide the last time. But Eve had other plans. She decided to try one more time to repair her marriage, otherwise she needed to let Alex go so they could both move on. Alex can't give up his desire for revenge and Eve is afraid that his single-mindedness will get him hurt or worse. She goes undercover as Alex's submissive in order to ensure his safety. While serving as Master and submissive, the two are able to open up and reconnect. As Alex and Eve struggle to reclaim the love they thought was lost, I felt a part of their journey. I was rooting for each to overcome the obstacles that were keeping them apart. Eve had been so busy being angry at Alex that she failed to realize her own responsibility in their marriage's breakup. Alex had to learn to let go of his anger and guilt and give Eve what she needed. He had lost sight of his responsibility as Eve's Dom. The physical scars left from the week of torture may have healed, but the emotional scars still remained. As Alex said to Eve, "Seven horrible days and we've let them ruin the thousands of good ones."I was deeply moved by Eve's struggle to overcome the rape and torture she suffered. Ms. Blake has written a heart wrenching account of a rape victim's determination to take back control. I can only begin to imagine the inner strength it takes to come back from such devastation. On Her Master's Secret Service also shows the turmoil felt by the victim's loved ones. Alex has his own emotional scars from the event and when he shed tears, I couldn't help myself from crying along with him. There are several twists in On Her Master's Secret Service. While I saw each one early on, I didn't find that it detracted from my enjoyment. Ms. Blake has written such three-dimensional characters, that I was excited and eager to see how they would respond to the twists. And I wasn't disappointed. Alex and Eve's reaction to each twist includes all the anger that I felt myself.I love how Ms. Blake has written Alex as a strong man who didn't mind admitting that he needs the love of a special woman to survive. And her heroines are strong women who know that submitting isn't weak. Eve comes out of her tragedy a stronger woman who is in control of her life. The romance enhances the storyline. Ms. Blake writes the love scenes as a natural extension of the love between two people not as gratuitous sex. But the sex is still hot, steamy and erotic. On Her Master's Secret Service also includes all the characters we have grown to care about and love in the Masters and Mercenaries series. I always enjoying visiting with characters that I have connected with in previous books. It's fun to see how their relationships have progressed. We were also introduced to some new characters that most assuredly take center stage in future books. If you are a fan of this series, then you know that Ms. Blake loves to provide a sneak peek into the future as a wonderful tease.By the time On Her Master's Secret Service reached it's highly satisfying conclusion, I was emotionally wrung out. I truly believe that this is Ms. Blake's best book to date. On Her Master's Secret Service has it all - believable characters that I care about, a well- written plot filled with passion and danger, and enough humor to keep you grounded between bouts of crying. While you can certainly read On Her Master's Secret Service as a standalone book, you will enjoy it even more if you have read the entire series. And it will give you something to do while you wait for the next book. Hopefully, you won't have to wait very long!

Beautiful, heart breaking, amazing story
I have read the first three books in the series and just finished this. I have to admit, I love bdsm books (written well) but usually prefer RH. Something about the write up interested me and I have just not been able to put hese down. 4 books in 3 days. This, so far, is the best. Not only does it have the amazing, heart stopping adventure and storyline, but it has all the amazing characters and tasteful, loving, honest and respectful bdsm. On top of that, this love story, seriously, this love story..... I was bawling. Like just plain ugly crying with emotion, horror, love, heartache, happiness.... It has it all. Thus far, of the series, this is my fav, but Ians story comes next and holy hell...... I can't wait.

Definitely one to read!
If you are a fan of BDSM romance with a strong storyline this is the book for you. With some potential triggers to be aware of.The story of Alex and Eve is utterly captivating, the underlying ethos of D/s one of love and never ending devotion that needs to find its way following an horrific incident. The presence of familiar characters from previous books is a delight along with a new character to be incorporated into the MT world. There is also the segue into the next book in the series and it is so definitely not one to miss!I love the worlds that Lexi builds and the Masters series is without doubt a shining example of her ability to create a world of people you would truly want to call friends.Hot alpha men, D/s based sex, humour and sadness pooled with strong women who are not afraid to ask for what they need.Honestly? What more do you want?

Brilliant
I have just finished this story, have read all previous ones and just bought Live and let die (Ian's story). The books are brilliant, well written, lots of characters being introduced without being overwhelmed with them.I loved all the stories and this one is even better. I cried with these two, they were perfectly matched and it took a long time for them to get their HEA.Still can't decide which character I like best as I love them all equally (I'm talking about the men of course).Happy reading and I can't wait to start Ian's story.

Another winner from Lexi Blake.
I love the Bond like titles of this series of books. Very appropriate given the work these guys do!The Alex and Eve story has been a long time coming, but then I feel that about all Ms Blake's books. The story was worth waiting for, the whole plot believeable and the baddie's identity unexpected. A thoroughly great read.Like the other reviewers I cannot wait for Ian's book and have my fingers firmly crossed that he gets a well deserved (IMO)happy ever after.
