It's fine, it works, it's thin, does the job. But... Before you use it, take a nail file, or emery board, or fine sandpaper, maybe even a kitchen knife steel, and just settle down the burrs on the edges or the blade where it's been stamped out. Not too much, just take the burrs off.

I had a charging port, and a screen to replace on the kids tablets, so I thought I'd buy the bits and have a go at doing it myself. I used heat and a thin blade to break the glue joint on the first one, and on putting it all back together, I discovered that I'd ruined the screen. So, I bought a new screen and replaced it no problem. But. . . No way was I going to take the screen off of the other one without having the proper tool. So I bought this, and was shocked at how easy it made the job. Its such a simple tool, but it really does go to show that having the right tool for the job makes all the difference in the world. I wouldn't mess around with any device without one of these now.

The info for this says polished edges, they are not, the sides are smooth but the working edges are cropped and have sharp burs. These will need to be removed and polished before you use it on anything delicate. As delivered it will damage the item your opening.

Used this when replacing battery in my tablet. It came with plastic tools and they didnt really help when removing the tablet back, but this made the job easier and quicker. I can sèe it being something I will use again for other jobs.
