The Body Shop Body Butter | 96Hr Nourishing Moisture, For Dry Skin, 6.4 Oz

I'm a long-time fan of The Body Shop's body butters, and the Satsuma scent is a great addition to my routine. The product delivers exactly what I look for in a deep moisturizer, especially for dry spots or during colder, drier seasons. The texture is rich and creamy, more of a traditional body butter than a lightweight lotion, which is excellent for intensive hydration. It does require a little massaging to fully absorb, but I don't mind that trade-off for the deep moisture it provides. Once rubbed in, my skin feels incredibly soft, and I find the hydration lasts well throughout the day.The scent is definitely the star here. It's a bright, fresh, and authentically zesty citrus—it really smells like a fresh satsuma orange. The fragrance is strong enough to be noticeable when applying and for an hour or two afterward, but it fades nicely into a light, pleasant trace scent that isn't overpowering. If you're sensitive to heavy perfumes, this one is vibrant and uplifting without being cloying. I've been using it primarily on my arms and legs, and the texture has been fantastic, leaving my skin smooth without a sticky residue once it's fully absorbed.This tub is on the smaller side, but because the butter is so concentrated, a little bit goes a long way. I use it more sparingly than a regular lotion, so I expect the jar to last a decent amount of time. It's truly a nourishing product that makes my daily moisturizing feel like a small self-care ritual. This is a five-star winner for me and a great choice for anyone looking for deep hydration with a fantastic, energizing citrus fragrance.

Love this! Seems to keep my skin hydrated longer than other lotions or body butters. Scent is great-not too much, easy to use. Is pricey but worth it!

Love this lotion! Very thick. Apply on my legs overnight to allow it to absorb. Very mild scent. Effective at moisturizing skin.

The Body Shop lost all imagination integrity and customer loyalty. The classic fragrances now smell cheap and NOTHING like the originals. Some are still excellent but I can’t see the newest owners making a go of it. It was always our favorite brand! Biggest mistake was not keeping Anita on as at least a consultant! My sister worked at the original US store! White Musk and Dewberry were THE smell of the Body Shop now they smell dreadful! I still have my reference bottles. Rougeberry was the most delicious but I would be leary of them even trying to replicate it.

I got the vanilla scent. Smells like vanilla cake and a much sweeter smell than I was hoping for. I can definitely say it does what it says it does. I will try mixing it with cologne or other scents to get a smell profile that works for me.

I decided to try this body butter because my skin gets very dry, especially in colder weather. I’ve used lotions before, but I wanted something more nourishing.The texture is thick and creamy, but once you apply it, it melts into the skin and absorbs pretty well. It does take a minute or two, but after that my skin feels soft and moisturized without feeling greasy.I usually apply it after a shower, and it works especially well on dry areas like elbows, knees, and legs. The shea scent is light and natural, not too strong.A little goes a long way, so the jar lasts quite a while. If you have dry skin and need something richer than a regular lotion, this is definitely a good option.

It breaks my heart to write this but as every other purchaser since the new formula has been released has written it is absolutely terrible. I do not know what The Body Shop was thinking when they reformulated but they have ruined the best moisturizer on the market and ended up with one that is so terrible after 20 hours of trying to endure it I had to have a shower to wash it off and I will not use any more out of the three brand new large tubs I purchased. Straight into the garbage. As previously mentioned the first thing you notice with the new formula is when you open the jar is there’s no scent, which on its own would’ve been tolerable but not as nice. The second thing you notice as you dip your fingers into the cream is that it feels like it’s curdled and it’s hard chunks of some thing and it’s texture is sticky and coarse. As anyone that would have used this previously knows the original formula was the most luxurious almost sensual feeling cream. Gone now. The last step is the worst where you’re actually applying it and on freshly washed and exfoliated dried skin it sits on the surface no matter how much you rub it around and it feels sticky and tacky and honestly almost repulsive. I applied it in the morning and by the night time I was seriously disappointed that it still felt the same way all the way through my clothes and my skin just felt dirty like I needed a shower. I attempted to sleep with it and had one of my worst nights of sleep ever. It dragged across my sheets that are very silky bamboo and usually just slide all over me but now it just kept getting stuck and my arms were sticking to my body and everything just felt terrible so much so that Christmas morning the first thing that I did was have a shower to rid myself of my once favorite body lotion. As others have said I’ve purchased this body lotion for as far back as I can remember and I’m heartbroken that they have destroyed it. I hope with all my heart that the body shop hears these comments and gives us back the old version. At this point my three brand new tubs have gone in the garbage and I will not be purchasing anything else from The Body Shop.

Anything body shop I love. Prefer the body butters, as they go on thick. I use satsuma in summer, it keeps some of the bugs off my arms and it smells good.
