Very well built cooler
Update 09/12/25: Contacted KLIM and they sent me a brand new cooling pad at no cost. Didn't even have to ship the noisy one back! Bumping this back to 5 stars for their very fast customer service Update 09/02/25: Took about one month and the right fan has already started making bearing noise. Gets loud on setting 2, which kind of defeats the purpose of this product (being quieter than the built-in fans). Everything else I said below still applies, but the individual fans need some better QC. Currently using this with a Gigabyte Aero 16 XE5. The active cooling in this laptop is adequate, but the palm rests get warm, even with a modified fan profile, and especially when running any power-hungry peripherals through the USB-C ports. Turning the built-in fans up enough to maintain cooler temperatures is also quite noisy, as the low-profile fans have a distinct, high-pitched whine which is very unpleasant. When using the KLIM cooler, the palm rests on the laptop stay cool to the touch. Fan speed setting 3 is generally adequate to keep the built in high-pitched fans from having to spin up to audible levels when I'm editing videos, and the fans on the KLIM produce a far quieter, soft, white noise. Speed setting 3 is almost inaudible, but you can feel that it is moving a significant amount of air. Setting 4 is a bit noticeable, but not bad. 5 and 6 are definitely loud. I don't really need to use speeds above 3 most of the time. I can't tell you how far this cooler reduces temps in gaming scenarios, since I don't game much, but I will say it keeps my temps down in the 40c range during video editing without nearly as much noise as the laptop fans (almost silent, in fact). Since this is my primary purpose for wanting a cooler, I'm very satisfied with this quality of life improvement. One reason I chose the KLIM over other coolers was its intake design. By pulling air in the from back, rather than through the bottom, you do not have to raise the cooling pad using the angled stand to achieve good airflow. If you want to hold it on your lap like a table, you're perfectly able to do so, and it cools just as efficiently as if you had it sitting on a desk. The front stop is discrete enough that it doesn't interfere with using the keypad on the laptop, unlike other coolers which have bulkier "hooks" on the front. The ability to use the USB port from the laptop to power it cuts down on cord clutter, and the USB on the cooler means you don't lose a port (although I generally use a USB C hub / dock anyway, so this isn't much of a concern for me). The build quality is great for the price point. Grabbing opposite sides and giving it a twist results in little or no flex. Nor does it bend or bow even when my 13lb cat decides she's going to take a nap in it! I would recommend this cooler to anyone using a laptop with a bottom oriented air intake.

Noise is loud at first but not too bad...until it gets bumped and starts screaming at you
It's not a bad cooler and it works great to cool my laptop that is running a 5080Ti...but it does have some issues that definitely need to be addressed before I could recommend it to anyone. It is quite loud at maximum fan speed but as my laptop is already quite noisy this wasn't an issue for me and the airflow is great. Until it got bumped one day and the right fan started screaming at me. The fan appears to be loose or has something that it is pressed up against too closely and it creates an awful noise that is extremely difficult to stop. I usually have to unplug it, plug it back in reduce the speed back to 1 and then gradually bring it back up very slowly and very carefully and if it starts up again I have to start all over. and a simple bump is enough to completely wreck it and make the fan scream at 2AM. The next issue is how chonky this cooler is. It is very large and makes transporting the computer far more of a challenge. It could definitely stand to be a lot slimmer. The 3rd issue is the little rubber feet that go on the bottom of the computer fall off easily and as they are very small, they are easily stuck to something and lost. This makes it a bit less stable and lot more noisy to move. And the 4th and final major issue for me is the filters. They fit great at first, but after the first time you remove them and clean off the dust they stretch and don't fit back in the slot properly. They also never really come clean so they begin building up dust faster and faster. There definitely needs to be additional ones provided so that you can swap them out as they get used up especially since they are just a very thin material and not any kind of durable or expensive filter. Edit: I managed to get in touch with support as the screaming fan issue continued to worsen. Marja was amazing and provided me with a replacement that solves the fan issue perfectly. The other quirks of the device not withstanding, the main issue has been rectified and I am satisfied with the cooler device now.

A Masterpiece of Thermal Management: Highly Recommended
As a gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life, I must say that unboxing this device was a thoroughly delightful experience. Before even interacting with the hardware, I was greeted by a charming, whimsical comic strip detailing the product's packaging. It is precisely this sort of bespoke attention to detail that elevates a brand from ordinary to exceptional. The aesthetic design of the cooler is nothing short of magnificent. It possesses a remarkably premium silhouette that commands presence upon the desk, perfectly complementing a refined workspace. Furthermore, the customizable RGB illumination is absolute poetry—vibrant yet sophisticated, adding a brilliant stroke of modern elegance to my evening sessions. In terms of performance, the engineering is truly commendable. By adjusting the fan velocity, I easily discovered an absolute "sweet spot" tailored perfectly to my machine. It maintains my laptop at a wonderfully chilled, optimal temperature with the utmost grace and efficiency. To put it into perspective, this cooling pad is so remarkably efficient that it rivals the crisp, refreshing chill of my absolute favorite beverage, a tall glass of Arizona iced tea. In fact, it keeps my laptop so thoroughly frosty that I half expect a lemon slice and a splash of honey to materialize right beside the keyboard.A truly stellar acquisition for the discerning user.

Not worth the price -
Worked great for awhile, then after 2 months of use the fan inside is insanely loud like something is loose in there. Been meaning to come on to write this, Would highly recommend looking elsewhere and yes pay more for a better quality of cooling pad because your gaming laptop deserves it especially when you need that extra cooling for more higher end laptop gaming.

Best Cooling Pad on the Market
I was hesitant to spend so much on a cooling pad but after going through two other cheap ones and them not making a difference in my laptop's temp (as checked by core temp software), I finally caved and bought this one. I'm so glad I did, it's been working perfectly for the year that I've had it and it ACTUALLY reduced my laptop's temp. The filters are so nice as well to help prevent dust buildup in my laptop's vents.

17" Gaming Laptop Barely Fits!
My Laptop is a 17" Lenovo Legion 5 with an Intel I7 10750H CPU and Nvidia RTX2060 GPU. I have had problems solving Thermal Throttling on the CPU. CPU would hit about 97c while gaming. GPU Temps are fine. First I want to say, this does do what it is suppose to do. I no longer have CPU Thermal Throttling while gaming. If I run Furmarks CPU Burner the CPU will Thermal Throttle however it is about 6-7c cooler than before. In the first pic notice the foam covers almost half the fan intakes, if I pull the Laptop Forward in the second pic you can see this is reduced to about a third of the fan intakes being coverd, however in this postiion I can barley access the fan controls as you can see in the third pic. The laptop is barely narrower that the cooler, don't let the perspective fool you into thinking it is wider than the cooler. On high the fans make a strange sound. Like there "Harmonizing" maybe. It really stands out. Even with my Soundcore VR P10 earbuds in I can still hear it when no other sounds are playing however I do not notice the sound while gaming. The only other thing I would like to mention this adds a lot of height to your keyboard, you will have to adjust your postiioning which might take some time to get use to. As I am typing this review my shoulders are starting to hurt a little. I will have to get some pads for my arms/elbows to rest on. Not sure if I am going to keep this or not. I will keep you updated as time passes and see if I get use to it or not.

Great cooler from a fantastic company
This is a fantastic cooler that allows me to game without thermal throttling my CPU. I bought this cooler because it intakes from the back which allows me to sit my laptop down on the bed or furniture without me worrying about the intake being suffocated. This cooler is a lot quieter than most that provide comparable cooling, although it's not silent on the higher settings. It's not a type of fan sound that I find annoying. I don't usually write reviews, but I ran into a problem with this cooler and KLIM support is some of the best I've ever seen. They resolved the problem immediately, without hesitation or interrogating me for information. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from them.

I was a little disappointed with the KLIM Everest Laptop Cooling Pad
Hey all, I own a 17-inch Dell Alienware x17 R2; and I was a little disappointed with this KLIM Everest Laptop Cooling Pad. With all the air that this thing can push (and it’s a lot) I thought it would keep my laptop a lot cooler than the 5-year-old one that I was trying to replace...nope... On the CONS side: 1. Somehow, it DID NOT cool better than my old one. My laptop ran cooler with the old one. I don't know if that had anything to do with the foam fitting that comes with it, but it looks small like maybe the entire air intake on the bottom of the laptop might not be fitting inside the foam to get all the air. a. (in speculation) if the pads fans are not blowing into the laptops bottom intakes then maybe its actually stopping them from pulling in air? other pads are blowing air from the bottom straight up at the laptop. This pad is looks like its pushing air from back to front ACCROSS the laptops intakes... 2. also, I didn't like the foam because it lets the computer slide down and move when I touch it. Sometimes I rest my wrists or hands down on the computer while I'm working or gaming and the foam allows the computer to dip and tilt around. 3. The Air-intakes on this cooling pad are located adjacent to (like right under) the computers rear heat exhaust vents. So is this cooling pad actually pulling the hot air right back into the machine? A little maybe…? 4. The legs on this cooling pad: a. can give you some serious elevation but I don’t know how a large laptop is supposed to stay on this thing without falling off if you put the legs to the highest setting. b. The legs don’t actually LOCK in place; if you have to move or lift the computer for a moment you have to make sure you put both legs back into place or the whole thing can just might fall over. c. don’t have very WIDE AND GRIPPY rubber boots so it can more easily move around on a table top. 5. There’s no flip up blocking retainers to stop the computer from sliding forward on this cooling pad. Sorry...$62 bucks...not sorry On the PROS side: a. this unit pushes A LOT OF AIR and if it puts it in the right place this thing might keep any laptop cooler than anything else. and the 6 power settings for the fan are good. b. And I like the foam pieces inside this cooling pads intake channels they will eliminate dust from being thrown back into the laptop. c. I Don't NEED but I like the lighted color changing thing

Five Stars Not for the Fan, But for What Happened After...
I bought the KLIM Everest about two months ago and was very happy with it initially, it performed brilliantly, kept my laptop cool, and felt like a well-built premium product. So I was genuinely shocked when one day, out of absolutely nowhere, the fan started making a loud rattling noise. No drops, no physical damage, no dust buildup, I had been taking really good care of it. It just happened. After doing some research I quickly realized this is actually a surprisingly common issue with this product. A fair couple number of reviews on Amazon mention the exact same rattling problem. Most people seem to experience it after about a year of use, in my case it happened after just two months, which was quite frustrating. Anyone who has shopped online for a while knows the feeling, something goes wrong, you reach out to support, and you're met with silence, a generic copy-paste response, or endless back-and-forth that goes nowhere. It's an unfortunately common experience, and it's exactly why customer service matters so much when you're investing in a product, especially one on the pricier side. A great product can lose all its shine if the company disappears the moment something breaks. It genuinely changes how confident you feel about a purchase. That said, here is where the story takes a turn. I contacted KLIM support and was assisted by a specialist named Stephan. The response was fast, friendly, and thorough, he first walked me through some cleaning and troubleshooting steps, and when those didn't fix the rattling, he immediately offered to send a brand new replacement unit, no questions asked, and without requiring me to return the faulty one. It is also worth mentioning that the KLIM Everest comes with an official 5 year warranty, which given the fan issue being relatively common, is a very reassuring thing to know as a buyer. So yes, the rattling issue does seem to happen to a few people. But KLIM's willingness to own the problem and make it right quickly and generously is what earns this five stars from me. You're not just buying a cooler, you're buying into a company that actually stands behind its product.

Essential cooling...
Having bought one of these a few days ago, it was a good decision. A well built unit, with really good cooling power. The design is very good, and the addition of the foam sealing-pad is a really nice touch, especially if your laptop is more on the hefty side. I noticed a very decent drop in degrees, especially when working on graphic design applications. I usually wear earbuds when I'm working on projects, so the fan noise isn't something which bothers me, but even then...the noise output is minimal. Very good indeed.

good but a little bit noisy
The cooling pad exceeded my expectations. Initially, I was hesitant about the foam grips for my PC, fearing it might slide. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its stability. The pad offers adjustable levels from 1 to 4, with a MAX setting. While there's a slight increase in noise from level 3 to MAX due to the fans, it's minimal and doesn't disrupt anyone. Moreover, the pad operates silently. In terms of temperature, even during heavy gaming sessions, my PC remained stable, and I even noticed occasional drops in temperature. Overall, I highly recommend it for gaming or work purposes.
