Cable Matters 3-Pack 2 Prong Outlet with ON Off Switch, Single 2 Prong Outlet Switch/Plug Switch in Black

I actually ordered this version (2-prong ungrounded) by mistake, but I can still use them for my numerous 2-prong chargers for phones and such. A standard 2-prong power plug fits stiffly with some force required but still acceptable. Same for removing the plug.The units are attractive and non-bulky. As pictured, two can be plugged into a standard duplex wall outlet since they don't block each other. I've gone ahead and ordered the set of 3-prong grounded version that I originally intended.

Use this to make your Christmas lights, Wi-Fi modem, Smart TV etc reboot or shut off. I’m sure you do get some evil satisfaction from yanking the modem power wire out of the wall, but this will do all the work and keep your heart rate down.

I give 5 full star because these are well made, work, and are exactly as described. It is my fault that I didn't notice that they are not grounded. I do recommend grounded off switch outlets, but can put these to use in non kitchen/bathroom area.

I can now switch lights on & off.Unfortunately, the switch is on bottom so not intuitive. I know the switch is there but anyone else will not know unless told.

They do exactly what they are supposed to, plug it and flip the switch to turn on. They were great for holiday lights. A little bulky, but they seem like they will stand up to wear.

It works as intended. I can shut off the electronic applicances when not in used.

This is an excellent option to use for your Xmas tree lights. I bought a footswitch that was cheesy and took 3 clicks to get the lights to come on and then they would just go off whenever it wanted to. Frustrated and it was unsafe. These outlet switches are great for that application. Just walk by the outlet and turn switch off.

These switches are useful in all kinds of applications, keeping in mind that they are 2-prong, and lack the 3rd ground pin. I use one to control a power block, those plug-in transformers that are to be found on the power cords of so many devices these days, and which often get warm, indicating continuous power use. The switch allows them to be shut down, except when needed, thus saving power.

2 of the 3 items simply didn't work. Box was open, products loose inside, no instruction sheet, although the instructions are obvious.

I frequently use an air fryer & an induction hot plate on my kitchen counter, & neither have power switches so need plugging in to work. If left plugged in, they blink away. These things solved that annoying issue. I love them. Only drawback was that they were really loose in the socket, but we made some adjustments & now they are fine. Don’t see any other review addressing that, so might just be our sockets. Going to use the 3rd one for our modem, as ours is in an awkward place to occasionally reboot.
