Thoughts after first 30 miles
Very easy change out. Used Continental tubes. Tires are dead quiet on asphalt which surprised me given the nubby tread. Ride is smooth and quick. On 30 miles of gravel trail after several days of hard rain they rode fine under my Cannondale Quick 3. This bike is aluminum with carbon fiber fork and seat tube. So, while very responsive, you tend to feel the terrain's effects on both body and bike. I inflate around 60 psi as I did with my old tire and have to say the ride seems easier on my 67 year old anatomy and no doubt easier on the bike. Won't rate "Durability" yet after only this initial experience.Increased the psi on these tires to about 75 after some research. Ride was definitely faster and still accommodating a for a smooth ride.Noticed other reviews that complained of "sway" when coming upon heavier and looser gravel. To my mind there is nothing that can alleviate this phenomenon. The intuitive move should be to bite down on your pedals and power through loose gravel or sand. Even stand up and smash your way through this stuff. No tire is going to make loose gravel unloose. The tire are fine after many daily runs through loose gravel, mud and uneven terrain. Find your best price and ride safe!

Need to install on hooked rim
When I bought the tires there was no mention about the need for a hooked rim until I read the side of the tire. Luckily I found my rims were hooked. I found the tires were not easily centered on the rim but once I got them centered they were much better riding than the factory tires that came with the bike and less resistance.

Great tire overall
I've used these tires for several rides and on gravel, dirt, and grass they handle well and instill confidence. They also roll well on pavement. My only gripe is that they don't give a lot of confidence when cornering on pavement. Can't go wrong with Continental

best upgrade for a road bike
These tires upgrade my road bike to a commuter bike, cyclocross bike, a gravel bike and a mountain bike. I have enough traction to ride off pavement, allowing me to take short cuts on my commute, and to ride on dirt and gravel without the slipping and sliding with slicks. Riding cross country mountain bike trails is great fun on a road bike with these tires; the lighter weight of the bike allows you to improve your handling skills unweighting the (shockless) front end for rocks and roots while maintaining your speed.

Great Grip
I had never installed fold up bike tires before and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and how well they work. It took me about 20 minutes to install each bike tire, but most of that time was spent removing the old tires. I wanted great grip in wet, rainy conditions because the bike ride event I was going on had steep terrain and the forecast was calling for rain. I was impressed with the grip and cornering on wet asphalt, mud and grass. Very happy with my purchase.

Disappointing in dry terrain
I have to say that I am disappointed in this tire, enough that I considered one star, but it also may be that I have been asking too much of it. In short, I don't trust the traction and I've had 3 flats in maybe 200 miles of riding.I have been running this on the rear of my cross bike in dry and rocky terrain (central Washington state). Climbing grip in those conditions is terrible. Yes, I know how to maximize grip, as I regularly commute in Seattle rain, uphill both ways (same bike, different tires). I've also found the grip to be squirrely in corners. Maybe that's me, so let's talk about flats and broken knobs. As I said, the tire is still pretty new, so new that my riding companion remarked on it as he helped me with flat number 3. Despite that, there are a number of broken knobs and obvious scars in the casing. One such wound was approximately where that last tube puncture was located. Flat number 2 was a pinch flat when I hit a modest-sized rock. Now, I was running around 67-70 psi at the time, so maybe it was a bit low. (FYI, this is on Crank Brothers wheels with a smooth inner surface, so not a rim tape/spoke protrusion issue. It just pinched, hard.)It does run relatively smooth on pavement, and maybe it's great in mud and wet grass. But I've concluded that it simply does not take to sand/dust and a mix of round (river cobble) and sharp (broken granite) rocks. Your mileage may vary.

Better than suspension fork
Black Chili 4 LifeThese knobby tires rock. Much more comfortable on paths than traditional 100+ psi road tires -- I actually got faster changing from Conti Supersports, so they roll fast!Just a little squirmy if you get your pressure too low, a blast to ride!

Great off road/gravel tire!
Great gravel/off road tire! Would not necessarily recommend this tread pattern for asphalt/bike path commuting; lower profile tread would suit that better.

Good tires
Good tires. I was on a 28 700c road tires, switched to this set of gravel tires. I don't feel additional rolling resistant. Feel great! The downside is, the tires seems to wear out fast.

Excellent
Wow. Transformational. Soaks up shocks like a sponge and rolls over gravel like a road tire. Excellent.
