are the handle assemblies die cast metal or cheap plastic?

The handles are plastic and rubber but not cheap and I’ve used it multiple times and it’s held up very well. The first one was defective but I was sent a new one immediately and it’s been great. I use it mainly to prune my bougainvillea that’s 7 ft talk and 10 years old so that should help you see if it will work for you.
