The vet recommended two options, which were to start brushing his teeth or to use a specialized solution like this one. ​The reality of kitten teeth brushing: Trying to brush the teeth of an adolescent cat is a high stakes contact sport. If I had persisted with the toothbrush, I am fairly certain my next review would have been for heavy duty plasters and medical supplies. Jax puts up a serious fight, and I would rather keep my skin intact and my cat stress free. ​Ease of use: This solution is a total win by comparison, because you literally just add it to the water bowl. I was initially worried that the pomegranate extract might put him off his water, but he hasn't noticed a thing. He is drinking as normal, which was my biggest concern. ​Early results: I cannot speak to the long term dental health just yet, and I will update this in a couple of months after his follow up vet assessment, but I can already smell a difference. His breath is significantly fresher already. ​Verdict: This gets five stars for saving my sanity and letting Jax maintain his dignity without a daily wrestling match. Been using for over a week no difference at all not even to the dogs breath .. but worth a try .. will find another way to freshen the digs breath

As far as I know the cats are drinking their water, so hopefully it's helping.

I purchased two bottles of this product as I have 3 cats who have stinky breath. I purchased it after reading the reviews, I followed the instructions and put 1 cap full into their large water bowl. Since I have used it and this is the only thing I have used that is different. I.E. same wet food, same dry food ect. This product made one of my cats quite poorly, he would not drink from the bowl kept in the kitchen, after 24hrs of not eating and drinking. He would only drink from the water bowl upstairs ( not the toilet )
