It sucks! 🤣
Absolutely amazing. We had an issue with the drain in the bath tub. It took ages to bail it out with a bucket each day. UNTIL this beauty arrived!Works really well, no leaks, really fast suction.Only issue, the pipe was to short for what I needed it for, but the pump is actually a bilge pump for kayaks and canoes so five stars.

Works a treat but you'll probably have to heat-treat the hose
Like the fact that it pumps well and moves a nice volume of water quite quickly with very little work. In line with other reviews I didn't like the fact that if you're paying a bit more to have the hose included, it arrives in the box bent double and quite badly kinked as a result. I put a heat gun over mine or if you're persistent with a hair dryer on high heat that might do also. Once the hose is quite hot where it's kinked it'll sort itself out an regained it's original shape. I then took it outside and ran cold water through it from outside tap, to quickly cool it so it holds its shape. Problem solved, but an unnecessary hassle.

Good for emptying fountains
I got this product although I don't Kayak. I got it to see if it would work effectively as a tool to empty fountains in the my garden for when I need to clean them. I've found it works really very well for that purpose so I've been delighted with the product. Given that it works well for emptying the contents of a fountain effectively I image it would work equally well for emptying the bottom of a Kayak! Anyway it seems sturdy and well made. The pump actions is smooth and the hose stays on and seem thick enough to avoid easy tearing.

Great for clearing the bilge of a Narrowboat
I get a slight drip from the prop so keep an old ice cream tub underneath it and then use this pump to suck out the liquid. Works perfectly. The exhaust pipe is flexible and plenty long enough and the pump has enough power to lift the water a good couple of feet up. Works far better than the electric pumps I tried using before this hand on. Excellent product, does a great job. Recommended.

This is a brilliant pump
This has been a life saver for me (not literally, unless you count the stress reduction). My patio floods when it rains and the soak away drain is blocked. After wasting lots of money on electric pumps that all failed or did not fit down the drain, I tried this and it’s fantastic. It pumps dirty water smoothly and with pretty minimal effort. It fills a bucket in no time at all and then after a few buckets my patio is fine again. Fabulous product. As an experienced kayaker I can confirm that it will also work well for its intended purpose.

Works well with modification
Purchased primarily for filling and emptying water reservoir on Christmas tree stand; for which it is ideal.Envisage it will also be used around the house and garden for tasks such as emptying paddling pools. It works very well and I am overall pleased with product.I have given only a four star review due to two design faults. 1. The delivery hose is soft, almost lay flat. It is folded to facilitate storage. The hose remains kinked when in use. 2. The delivery hose is not securely fixed to the pump outlet and 'blows' off in use. I resorted to securing mine with a hose/jubilee clip. Pump itself works well. I don't think mine will ever be used in a bilge...

Very pleased
Excellent pump I thoroughly recommend that if you need a bilge pump you purchase one of these

Slightly disappointing
The item had clearly been in transit (from China) or in stock for quite some time. The outlet hose was pinched and deformed, and had stuck to the packaging. The valve(s) in the pump had hardened, but eventually softened with water. The seal between the piston shaft and the cylinder leaks. But it was cheap and it works. It gets most of the water out of the bilges, leaving only a little to be sponged.Sadly, it stopped working after a few days and I bought a proper pump.
