I'm going bananas
This is an excellent recording. Firstly the quality of the recording is crisp, clear and well balanced. The music itself is fantastic. It will definitley start you waggling your tail feathers. Highlights have to be 'Dancin' Fool', ' Man Wanted' and 'Ay Caramba'. My biggest regret is that I never went to see the show when it was on. I would now, without hesitation. At times it is reminiscent of 42nd street, more to do with the 'chorus girl' style of some of the songs, but there is enough variety of musical style to maintain interest. Well worthe the money- luvvin' it.

At The Copa-
Great original cast recording with some great numbers. Barry Manilow put together some good musical theatre songs for this show; if you're expecting a string of his hits, then I'm afraid you're in for a disappointment, but buy it anyway because there is loads of good stuff here. The Latin-American influenced numbers are especially joyful.

Gary Wilmot a perfect Tony...
This cast album really does capture all the atmosphere and excitement that going to see the show created. The show played in the West End for a long run and then had a very long UK tour with Michaed Praed as Tony. Here, we have Gary Wilmot one of the most versatile of performers around and combined with the music of Barry Manilow and Artie Butler and with musical director Andy Rumble this was pure 1990s escapism...what wonderful times. Thanks to this CD you can relive all the vibrant performances and superb production numbers.

Fantastic
Bought this as my old copy on tape, yes tape, had finally given up the ghost! In my opinion one of the best musicals ever. Catchy tunes such as "Just Arrived", "Dancing Shoes" and of course not forgetting the main song "Cobacabana" make this excellent. I went to the West End no less than 14 times to see this show, it's also what inspired me to become an actor. You may be thinking how can they make a musical based around one song, well they have and it works brilliantly. If you love musicals you must have this soundtrack in your collection.
