Heavenly
When it’s placed alongside another pan, it’ll work on an induction hob. However, the induction appears to vibrate or otherwise stir up the grounds. When used with an induction adapter plate, the grounds settle more quickly and leads to a smoother coffee (using low heat, sheet of cardboard and three copper coins to protect the hob). I haven’t tried it on a gas/radiant heat hob. The ‘rings’ shapes in its upper casing appear to do a fabulous job in catching the grinds when dispensing the brewed coffee. I’m new to fresh coffee and am enjoying a range of coffee types of which this Turkish pot is giving plenty of satisfaction. I’ve been using 14 grams of fine ground with 190 ml of just boiled water (this’ll fill the pot); brewing it over a low heat (200 watts) and removing it upon the first ‘rise’. Then allowing to settle for a minute before carefully dispensing. I find the taste to be smooth, very strong and yet mellow. Note the caveat: I’m a total amateur, for example: I don’t like bitter or sour but can’t tell the difference between two.
