Atari Pitfall Canteen - Loot Crate Gaming Exclusive (February 2017)

My son loves this canteen!!! He takes it to school everyday as his water bottle. At everyday use for the past 3 months it’s holding up just fine No problems!! :)

This was a pretty amazing find as its the year 2020 and my 6 year old son loves playing Pitfall, a game that is 40 years old with virtually no merchandise available. And he needed a canteen for hiking. So while browsing canteens he was excited to find this.First of all this is not a "real" canteen. While it does hold water its basically a decorative novelty item that will look nice on a shelf. That being said its fun for kids too. The canteen itself is all plastic (no idea if BPA free) with printed fabric which looks nice. Looks to be the same as several other cheap canteens for sale on here. Its small, but holds enough water for a child and doesn't leak. There is no insulation whatsoever so the water will be warm within an hour... You can't fit any ice cubes in the small hole though I've taken to filling it half way and freezing it overnight. It sweats and the fabric cover will be perpetually wet, though its not an issue on a hot day. The strap is too short, barely enough for a 6 year old. For an adult it will fit like a necklace... But we've gotten some comments from other hikers seeing the name so that's exciting for my son.

Smaller than expected, but it looks nice in my retro arcade.
