I make a lot of tomato sauces and soups. These little chunks are very useful, as I can just chuck them into any mixture that's going to be simmered. Once rehydrated, they're about the same size as the pieces in tinned chopped tomatoes. They can also be hydrated by soaking overnight.I find they come up firmer than tinned tomatoes and, to be honest, have less flavour. They will, of course, provide nutritional value. A useful standby for the frequent user, particularly as they take up less space than dozens of tins!

I'm into putting food away for long term storage in case of emergency. Floods, storms or a financial crisis and need the storage to feed the family until things settle down. I make dry mix meals where I just add water and open a jar of canned meat and we have a good healthy meal. I love all the products from Tongmaster. Although most is for making sausage or burgers it can be used for other dishes like spaghetti sauce or soups or sauces to pour over pasta. I will be buying tons more

These are really good tomato flakes to add to herb/spice grinders, soups, stews or anything else you can think of a use for. Beware this is a1kg bag & it is HUGE. I will be using them for a long time. That said, very useful and just what I wanted. Bright, vibrant colour & quite big dried flakes.
