So I have a set of lights at home and would love to use them but they’re very large with wide legs and huge umbrellas. I needed something a bit more compact for my studio. I bought one and liked it so much I bought a second.These will pretty much do everything. Portrait, product, artwork etc. I also use them occasionally for additional light when drawing.They fold up nice and easy and can be tucked away when not in use.Very slight criticism here - I wish they expanded just a little bit taller. Doesn’t stop me from giving them 5 stars. Best part is, the price. You really can’t go wrong.Highly recommended

This is a very entry level softbox, but it does the job for content creation (which is what I purchased it for). Overall, I think the value is there. I am happy with the colors and it works for its intended purpose.Nothing feels too cheap and the stand is fairly sturdy. I did struggle with putting the box together, but I don’t think that is unique to this product.The light does come with a remote, but if you lose it, you cannot change the color again. It is important to not lose the remote.The light is small, which is nice for a compact space.

Good and bright. i like that you can change the temperature of the light (the light, not the bulb). I like how easy it is to expand the poles. It is very light and easy to transport. The material that the shade is made of seems cheap, but it does the job. I use this for self tapes, and it definitely has upgraded my lighting. I think I may need another one, though, to prevent shadows.

The remote only works if you point it at the top of the bulb, close to it, without the cover on. The remote doesn't work if you have the cover on. Makes sense because the infrared from the remote gets diffused by the cover fabric and makes it hard for the sensor to pick up.Everything else is satisfactory for the price. Some would stay the stand is flimsy - but for under 50 bucks, what do you expect? It's a cheap light. It's reasonably bright and stands up on its own. That's it needs to do at this price point. That said, it would probably shake around a lot if you used it outside.

This is my 2nd one! Need I say more? Works great, light and easy to set up. I use two of these for my videos and often carry one to remote locations since it folds down small and fits in it's bag easily.

This is an excellent lighting kit! I'm particularly pleased with the ability to change the color settings.In terms of the company's customer service: Although the remote didn't work, the company responded immediately and sent a replacement. As it turns out, the first remote did work -- you just have to push the on/off button in the right place (minor adjustment). When I got the second remote, I tried it (it worked), so I went back to the first remote... and it worked when I pressed in a different place. I offered to send the second remote back or pay for it, but the company said to just keep it.

So far, so good! Easy set up and takedown.

I only bought one. The light itself is smaller than I imagined. I can’t figure out how to make the light cover fold out properly - it stays wrinkled up from being folded for portability. It did the job for the one indoor shoot I did, but I would need to buy a bigger set up for future indoor shoots.
