I was looking for a small bin to fit in a specific area of my kitchen and this fit the bill. I wasn't really bothered about the sensor opening and read in the description It had a manual opening option also, so I purchased it.Its a nice size and well made. It has an inner square ring holder for the bag, (I think 12l) and sits together very well, the bag being concealed by the lid. The lid takes 4xAA batteries, (included) and the lid is quite heavy when installed. The mechanism is absurd and really fast and noisy, the bin literally takes off when its activated . The bin actually moves when its activated. Its also really sensitive and opens when anything comes in its range. You cant use it in an closed area or cupboard, if you try the lid will not close. The manual closing of the lid is the same you just touch the button, but its the same in every other way and sensor still detects any movement nearby which causes it to activate, so its not a fully manual override and for this reason I sent it back.It's just too complicated for something as simple as a bin, I can under stand the technology behind it and obsessive types not wanting to touch the bin, but its over engineered and not for me and certainly should have had a dampened opening.I sent mine back and had no issues with the return.

Nice small bin opens and closes but works by light censur We wanted to keep it in the cupboard under the sink but opens its lid when cupboard door closed we want one that opens its when door is opened disappointed J naylor

The media could not be loaded.  Definitely not a rubbish idea. Works great. Conveniently hygienic. Certainly not a waste of money. Buy one & try one...;-)

Very nice bin with cool blue light inside. But sensor lid stopped working just after 5 days.Returned

Absolute rubbish , lid didn’t fit , cheap and nasty , please don’t waste your money on this bin , it belongs in the bin

I bought this to replace a bin I had for years. Great for the first couple of weeks then all of a sudden started making this rachety kind of noise.So I thought I would buy another as to be fair it’s a neat bin and the perfect size.Big mistake after less than a week the new one is making the same noise.Also there are no seller details to complain too.
