Bought this item because I work outside. And while I do have a protection sweatshirt, sometimes I can’t use it because it’s just too hot to have long sleeves so I Figured I would get something like this too at the very least protect my neck and ears. Unfortunately, this item is either not designed for adults or it’s designed for rather small individuals. Because this thing does not fit the average adult head. I couldn’t even get this thing over the top of my cranium let alone over a hat. It’s unfortunate, but it’s an automatic return. if you want to give it to say your children or if you are of smaller size, then it might work but if you are a larger build, then you’re better off going somewhere else.

I use this for gardening as I am trying to limit my sun exposure, especially on my neck/ chest which ages too easily. I wear SPF 60 every 2 hours but somehow I keep getting sun spots. So, I tried this. It is decent - covers my neck if I remember to push the top down against the bottom of my hat. I wish it was longer. I find the fabric falling forward when looking down irritating while gardening. However, I found a solution by tucking the drape behind my ears and then just snapping the bottom-most snap. I'm sure I look ridiculous in this get up and I probably would not wear this in public, but when I am gardening by myself, it is worth it!

I love how I can attach this to my baseball caps and visors for additional side shade when needed. In addition, the SPF material is so soft that I can use it to clean my sunglasses. I am thinking of purchasing a 2nd one as a back up.

I’m keeping this drape in the car for last minute sun cover. Too many times I was out in the sun with no hat, People don’t realize afternoon sun comes in under your chin and hits you on the side of the face. I’m really fair and have had 5 melanomas. One small mole required two inches cut out. Don’t be sorry. Alot of skin doesn’t get enough sunscreen, so the use of this sun scarf is double and side protection. All I worried about was my nose and cheeks, but that’s not enough. Of my five melanomas all five were where I didn’t put on sunscreen in the past….back of neck, side of face and back. One small mole is a two inch removal. Be smart!

I’m returning this as it’s not quite right for my needs but if you want sun protection when you’re outside exercising with a ball so it visor on, I recommend this. It works better with a hat because the brim holds it out around your face a bit so you get better side coverage and it’s not laying against your face at the chin. I don’t think it’s SPF fabric but it is a pretty occlusive silky nylon so it should work regardless. It does have little tiny holes in the mesh-like fabric for breathbility that the light can shine through but if you’re active I don’t think it’s going to be a problem as this offers more coverage than anything I’ve seen that isn’t a full face mask and there aren’t any pinhole light dots on my face when I wear it in direct sun. It just looks shaded, not sprinkled with little dots of light. It would be great for biking, the one activity that’s hard to get sun protection bc you wear a helmet. It’s not pretty but it’s prettier than melasma. I took off a star for attractiveness but it’s a 4 star no frills kind of product

I’ve been looking for a lightweight face covering for golf, one that doesn’t cover the nose or mouth. This is perfect. Three snaps allows you to fasten under the chin, or full covering for nose/mouth.
