Perfect. No notes.This is my favorite glaze. Haven’t found anything to match it. It is a beautiful color and every time it comes out unique. I’ll be like WOOOOW what glazes did I use and it’s like oh just one and it’s that versatile. That being said, it looks great mixed or doing layers with other greens and blues penguin sells.It is a chalky glaze, and is made that way, so best on a smooth surface or try out with thinners before using it on anything with really detailed carvings or etchings as it tends to smooth a surface.Such a wonderful color. Run and buy it, if you can beat me to it. There’s a reason I buy this in a large container.

Ethereal has become one of my favorite glazes. I fire to cone 6 and it is beautiful. I only use on the upper portion of my pottery because it is a floating glaze and runs a bit. I think it takes a bit of trial and error to find what you like, glaze can be so unpredictable but this one always leaves me with gorgeous results. I love the dimension of the colors, and have never had any issues with crawling or crazing with this one. It’s great to pair with other glazes as well. Great price also.

I'm not one to leave reviews. If I get a product that works, I rate it accordingly. unfortunately, thats not the case here.what I received was a watery pint jar that I thought I had to mix. I've made my own mixes before and I stirred and stirred. at some point, it should mix into a thick-like (cream) consistency. This didn't happen. I followed the limited instructions on the jar, and fired it in the kiln and the coloring came out brown. like 80's paneling brown. No sparkle or pooling. so I mixed it again and even added gum (Arabic) to it and it didn't thicken up. then I realized what I thought was the bottom of the jar...was SOLID MATERIALS OF THE MIX. Again, I've made my own mixes off of Glazey; I have had them on my work shelf for over 6 months and I CAN STILL MIX THEM to make a glaze with a whisk. I mixed this glaze with a whisk, but it didn't work. I grabbed my drill mixer and it sort of worked but remained watery. I mixed it for over an hour and finally got the materials somewhat mixed. I brushed it on and shoved it in the kiln. still came out 80's wood panel brown. I'm sorry but the lack of quality has turned me off from any more purchases from this company. Please, fellow potters, do not try this mix. it'll waste your time and money and worst of all, your work. I'm thankful I tried this on a test piece because it was the worst.

I used this on a medium bodied white speckled clay. I am new to pottery this year.The directions said to do 3 coats of glaze after bisque fire. I did a brush on coat, it comes out thick but that’s expected, let it dry fully then did another. Repeated 3 times.I was concerned by how thick and chunky the glaze was but as you see, it came out great. It had a nice gloss to it. I fired it to Cone 6 in an older Kiln with new elements and it performed fine. No issues when waxed properly to prevent drips.The color is pretty but not exactly as shown. Less variation and less sparkle. The plastic container it’s in is also less than desirable. I poured it into a glass jar to preserve and make for easy stirring/shaking. That is the reason for my removal of 1 star.You get a lot in 1 jar. I will probably be able to glaze 8-10 smaller pieces with 3 coats each, easily.Overall a great purple / pink color that I will continue to use. Very popular with my preteen nieces and nephews!

This glaze has quickly become one of my favorites in the studio. The color is absolutely beautiful—soft, earthy, and layered with a subtle depth that gives each piece a unique, natural look after firing.It applies smoothly and consistently, whether brushing or dipping, and I’ve had great results in the kiln with even coverage and no surprises. The finish has a really nice balance—not too glossy, not too matte—just a perfect, calm aesthetic.I especially love how it enhances texture and details in my pieces. If you’re going for a more organic, neutral look, this glaze is a must-have. I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Fires beautifully at cone 6 with a very rich and sophisticated finish. For a true blue color, apply it generously, as thinner coats tend to turn more brown. The depth and variation are worth it, and the results look stunning.

Have used Float Blue at several production studios where I mixed glazes so I know this glaze. The commercial version is spot on, IMO. Great cone 6.

Love this glaze with its depth that shows a hint of gold within the structure of the glaze. Turns brown in contact with clear zinc free glaze (HF-9). Quite runny so provide a dam grove at the bottom of the piece to catch and control the run.

Tried with cone 5 and tried also with cone 6 just plain light baby blue. Tried with 3 coats and 4 coats same result

C'est un bon produit, quand il n'est pas retenu aux douanes.

I've used this glaze on several clay bodies and every time, regardless of thickness of application (1, 2, 3 coats) the glaze simply doesn't liquefy at cone 6, so I'm left with ugly green/brown/black. Yes, I've tested the kiln heat, yes, they reached cone 6 temperatures. (It's a workshop membership, so I've varied the kilns too). I'm tired of wasting my time and effort with this garbage glaze. Will be using Maaco only from now on.
