Short and sweet
Had my interest from the start. Short and sweet and delectable. Lots of fun and sass. Spicy and romantic. Characters did not disappoint. Will read Kat Baxter books again.

cute quick read
I don’t normally do novellas. I’m a full length book kinda girl, but this one intrigued me. I’m glad I gave it a go because I really enjoyed it. It’s fun and entertaining and sexy. Can’t go wrong with that combo.

Hopeless Romantic
This e-book was so different, but so good. Jace and Harriett’s love story is so good and funny for Harriett not so funny Jace. They take a while to get together but they finally work it out.

Welcome to Screaming Woods
HARRY'S BEAST: A Monster/Curvy Girl Romance is a shorter story that I bought a couple of Kat Baxter's Monster Books in October for Halloween, but are reading them in November, but enjoying them now.Harry's Beast is about a sweet, curvy girl that has a younger brother that is on the spectrum. He is very loved by his older sister, and she'd do anything to protect. So, when he gets in legal trouble, Harriet gets in touch with her music Professor Jace, and wants his help, but he refuses to meet her in person. Harriett (Harry) doesn't do what she is told to stay away. She tracks Jace down to living in Screaming Woods, where monsters are very real. During the accident years back, humans were turned into different creatures. Jace doesn't want Harry to come near him, but she doesn't listen and meets a seven-foot-tall Satyr. Not even scared of him at all, not even the other really huge problem he has to endure. Matter of fact, she believes she is his soulmate and was fated to break the spell. Until Harry came along, he had only the one friend. Even his one friend didn't like seeing his huge problem hanging out. If the brave Harry has her way, she will overcome Jace's fear of hurting her, and let's her have a go at fixing his issue. If he won't cooperate then she'd just kidnap him! It would all be good in the end!

Enjoyable, quick read
*spoilers below*I like when insta-love MCs are mates, it really helps sell the insta-love. I really enjoyed their pining for each other, especially the H's.I'm just going to assume that when the H went out during the day he covered up, even if it was uncomfortable because the thought of him perpetually hard, with a giant D, and completely naked is cringey. I'm saying this because it's not confirmed and it's during a conversation where he's in his house naked talking with his only friend, the Griffin, about how he doesn't cover himself because it's uncomfortable (even the softest fabrics) and when he went out during the day human women used to proposition him all the time. The h's age isn't given, I think she might be mid 20s? The H's age isn't given, I'm guessing mid to late 40s since he was a professor before he was turned and it's been a little over 20 years since he's been turned, but an off hand comment from another character indicates that the humans that were turned age slower so I'm guessing he might look mid 30s still.Suprisingly I don't think the h is a virgin! She's definitely not got a lot of experience under her belt, which is fine, but nothing is mentioned when they first do it, and since they describe his head like a fist I was nervous for how the author was going to deal with that. She basically glossed over it, which is also fine, I was actually able to enjoy the scene. The H isn't a virgin, he was engaged before turning into a satyr. She stayed with him for a little over a week after but she wasn't his fated mate and they didn't love each other so they ended it (she didn't drink the potion and stayed human). He's been celibate, I'm thinking, since the year after he turned based on the hints throughout the story. No BC.Spice is 4 fires out of 5.No sexual assault.Epilogue several months later.

Interesting
I thought that this take on monsters and monster Erotica was really fun. It was a good short read, once I started I couldn't put it down.

Another winner from Kat! Monster edition!
Harriet and Jace’s story is laugh-out- loud funny and so wonderfully sweet. And steamy…!Jace, a college professor, is living in Screaming Woods, a haven for those who may not feel accepted in the “real” world because of their peculiar “monster” tendencies. Jace is a Satyr and because of a particular physical hardship (that will make you giggle and possibly drool), he is a recluse even among those who care for him and protect his privacy.Harriet, aka Harry, is basically stalking Jace, to ask for his help for her brother. With a little help from his friends, Harry convinces Jace he wasn’t meant to be alone, he was meant for her. With Harry, Jace can be himself, and bonus! she LOVES his unique, infamous “asset”.As always, Kat’s supporting cast deserve an honorable mention for their hilarity. But it was Jace, who melted my heart and Harriet, who made it sing.I received a complimentary copy of this book and I purchased a copy 🔥⭐️🔥⭐️🔥⭐️🔥⭐️🔥⭐️ from me!

lol… loved!
Love the banter- the mini perversion of Harry’s in the car(lol) and the diabolical kidnapping plan.I was skeptic all of monster books but I found it light but entertaining.
