Q: Can you make it shorter?

You can put this in the ground further which would make it shorter or cut it with a miter saw carefully.

Q: The dimensions are confusing. Is the height 91 inches, width of the entire unit 41 inches, and depth of the unit 12.25 inches???

The height is about 91 inches but that is including the spikes to push into the ground and they are approximately 12 inches so once in ground it will be shorter. I measured the width to be about 38 inches and the depth to be about 10 inches. Hope this helps

Q: How does it hold up to strong winds?

It has been holding up well in all kinds of weather! We did have to put on a different bolt to the lower flower because it feel off. Other than that it is very pretty and we love to watch it spin.
