Ibanez GA5TCE Classical Electro Acous tic Guitar, Amber - 4/4 classical guitar

Studied Spanish guitar many years ago with a fabulous teacher but stopped playing when my family arrived (just couldn’t devote the time required to practice). Continued with other types of guitar but in retirement decided to go back to Spanish so was looking for a decent but not too expensive guitar. This fits the bill perfectly. Slimline neck so works well as my hands have never been a “players” hands after years of manual work. The slimline body gives a surprisingly rich sound and being able to use the pre-amp an added bonus, especially for tuning (with tinnitus this helps enormously). Overall, for the price, I cannot fault this Classical guitar - perhaps not for traditionalists but for someone playing for the absolute pleasure of learning new (to them) music it wins every time 👍

I wouldn’t usually buy a guitar without trying it out first but as this was a Black Friday deal and on Amazon who have always been really good if I needed to return or reject something I took a chance. I’m glad I did. Bearing in mind this is not a really high end guitar but a mid price, I’m really surprised. Usually when I buy a guitar even from a dealer I need to make some adjustments, usually a turn to the truss rod and alteration to the action but this one was just fine straight out of the box. Plays very nicely and a good sound when plugged into an amp. Only one drawback, no studs to use a strap but that can be overcome with a couple of pounds and ten minutes DIY. To sum up, five stars and very happy.

It would've been a great guitar, unfortunately the built quality is poor for the price. In some parts you can even see the glue, like it was made by a 5 year old. The sound is good, but it's losing tuning over a few days. It's a shame, I would love the guitar if it was built with more care.

This is the perfect nylon electro acoustic. The thinner body feels great and suits those more used to electric guitars. The built in tuner is simple and very handy, the pick up sounds amazing and it plays like a dream. I have wanted to get back to classical playing for a while and this guitar feels like it should cost double.

A high polish soundboard should arrive blemish free, this didn't. Maybe I was being picky but, a mark under the surface finish and surface scratches around strings is unacceptable. As is a rattle on the D string probably something loose inside. If I hadn't paid £220+ I might have lived with it and sorted the rattle but, meh. Shame because, it's a truly gorgeous looking thing but, not enough difference to my trusty Stagg electro-classical for the extra £160 it costs.

Very playful and for my musical needs soft enough, but not too soft guitar. Maybe a little quieter due to the small resonant box, but connected to a very small home amplifier with the possibility of adjusting the tone, it gives an enviably warm and satisfying sound. An instrument that met my expectations! In addition, a very nice musical instrument for the eye, very high quality finishes.

Primero de todo, he de decir que el resultado general de la guitarra es de sobresaliente a excepción de una cosa: las cuerdas. Recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que vaya a tocar esta guitarra que le compre unas cuerdas de calidad y se las cambie, ya que las que trae por defecto tienen un sonido bastante pobre, notándose su baja calidad. Ahora, una vez atajado el problema de las cuerdas, he de decir que es una guitarra de una calidad incuestionable y tiene un sonido buenísimo, especialmente conectada. Es una guitarra con una acción bastante bajita, por lo que es ideal para principiantes al no tener que apretar demasiado las cuerdas en los trastes. Hay muchas guitarras de este rango de precio que suelen tener las cuerdas muy altas y tensas, haciendo que llegue a ser doloroso el simple hecho de poner acordes. He de decir que esta guitarra tiene una acción perfecta y eso no os va a pasar, por lo que mientras os va saliendo el "típico" callo del guitarrista, no vais a sufrir tocando. En cuanto a sonido, lo dicho. Es una guitarra que tiene una caja algo mas estrecha de lo normal, algo muy común en las guitarras que llevan pre-amplificadores. ¿Que quiere decir eso? Que, sin conectar, tiene algo menos de resonancia (es decir, suena con menos potencia) que guitarras que no tengan pre-amplificador, pero aun asi tiene un sonido muy bueno y que se escucha perfectamente (vaya, para el que toque en su casa tiene sonido de sobra). Sin embargo, el punto fuerte de esta guitarra es su pre-amplificador, que es lo que la hace distintas a las normales. El pre-amplificador es muy completo. Tiene un afinador (por lo que no vas a necesitar llevar un afinador extra) que funciona muy bien. Tienes opción para resaltar los bajos, resaltar los agudos, tiene botón de phase (básicamente sirve para modificarlo en caso de que haya un "desfase" con los altavoces, aunque cambia ligeramente el sonido y puede que te guste mas en una u otra posición, independientemente del desfase)... En general, como digo, muy completo. Y que decir, suena perfectamente conectada. Yo la he probado personalmente en cierto amplificador de 10w que venden aquí mismo en Amazon y que, si alguien quiere saber, no tiene nada mas que escribirme o comentar este comentario (desconozco si se pueden poner enlaces a otros productos en las reviews, así que prefiero no arriesgar). Dicho esto, para mi es una guitarra mas que recomendada para cualquiera, ya que puede servir tanto para personas que acaben de empezar como para personas que ya lleven un tiempo en el mundillo.

La guitarra presenta materiales y acabados de mucha calidad. Muy agradable al tacto al tocarla, y con un sonido estupendo. El color es aún más atractivo que en las fotos.

A quality Ibanez guitar, my first Classical guitar and Wow! Definitely worth picking one up an trying it out! Easy on the fingers and sounds great and feels great playing Finger style! I was a guitarist who always looked down on Classical Guitars, but Wow, its been fun learning and exploring the different sounds these strings bring along for the ride! So easy to play, Finger Style feels like you've been finger playing four years! Ibanez Great Quality as usual!
