This little device works great and the build quality is perfect. So many times I've struggled with preamp tube pins, I wish I had this years ago. Straightens and spaces the pins for easy insertion, no more bent pin problems. Worth every penny, the case is simple but very nice and keeps it secure. I have 11 tube amps and most have multiple preamp tubes and at least 1 12AT7 so this tool will get a lot of use.

I can say that I was very skeptical about this device. Since returns are easy, I did not mind taking a chance and purchased it anyway. Well, I am happy I was wrong. This thing straightened a bunch of tubes I had that were in various states of pin damage. It fixed every tube I had. I also thought this looks like such a simple thing, why not make one mysellf? Well, the machining is EXTREMELY well done, and while simple, it is a work of art of sorts. The measurements and tolerances have to be exact or it will not work well. Mine was perfect and made it easy to straighten all the pins I had bent over time. Make sure to use gloves so you don't touch the glass with your finger grease, but other than that it is foolproof to use. Very happy. I paid full price and nobody asked or incentivised me to write this review. I am just a happy customer.

Extremely well made. Works great. Pin openings are beveled to 3x the pin size to accept bent pins better than the built-in straightener on my B&K 747 tester. This one comes in a nice metal tin with a padded interior that fits perfectly in my Hickok 6000 tester with the lid closed. Btw, the first thing you notice when you get the package is the custom holographic stickers used as tape on the box and foam & bubble wrap packaging. It’s a nice touch that indicates you’re getting something very thoughtfully crafted.

Made of solid stainless steel, it's the last pin straightener you'll ever need. It's exact too, does a great job of on those bent tube pins on 7 and 9 pin tubes. Well worth the really low price for this quality, and it comes in a really neat steel case too!

I basically knew what to expect when I ordered this unit. I had a large number of cheaply made Chinese tubes ( not all are ) and they all arrived with bent pins that are not hardened pins. They're quite soft, bend easily and can make a mess out of an already installed tube socket if they don't align properly when inserted. After spending a lot of "wasted" time hand straightening pins on them by hand I sprung for the money and bought this. One of the best purchases I've made in quite a while. Insert the tube with bad pins once or twice and it then drops into the tube socket with no effort. Worth the cost if you're dealing with more than just one or two tubes. One tube alone with unbroken pins straightening them pays for the unit!

Very well made with a nice, solid, precision feel. I roll tubes frequently in a Garage1217 Project Ember and this helps a lot to ensure that the pins are straight (and to straighten them after I bend them). Just a bit expensive but well worth it (IMO).

I normally struggle to get my tubes in but after a few inserts with this tool and they slip in with ease. A must have for people that roll tubes. I have several Woo audio amps that use these as well as fender tube guitar amps . High quality item with a perfect finish . I just ordered a back up .

It is well made and works well. The packaging is the best that I have ever seen, it is packaged as though it were a fragile piece of crystal.
