regarded as Jean-Jacques Rousseau's most important piece of work, On The Social Contract argues that government in itself is flawed leading to a society pillared on inequality and servitude. This piece of work should be read by all to gin an understanding of the invisible contract between the governed and government. The state of the book was new without tears, marks, or any creases etc.

Enlightening
What a marvel to see the magnificent truth of the master's work 250 years after he postulated it. What a treat to read Cole's translation side-by-side with the original French to see how closely he followed the intent and phraseology. What a surprise to discern the deeply-held Christian views of this acclaimed free-thinker who is so often misused by the secular, progressive socialists of our day. Merci, M. Rousseau!

Knowledge
Nice book that really is relevant to todays situation. Rousseau and other French philosophers helped to shape the founding fathers attitudes. You will definitely get more out of this than those idiot talk shows.

Love it
Awesome read, of course! I read it in college and decided to order and read it again to brush up; especially since the price was just awesome. I'm in no way disappointed. Books arrive promptly and on time.

Masterly written.
Rousseau is able to write a concise and interesting book which captivates you from start to finish. I was a big fan of how he compared different types of government that a state can have and looked at their pros and cons, and this book is one of my favourites.
