Awesome book
If you want to know to how draw dynamic action poses for making a comic books than this book is highly recommended. It doesn't show anatomy drawing you must get a separate book for that. Overall this gives you proper insight to draw comics with dynamic features included a major example are fight scenes which are really cool. There are many cool looking sketches that can really catch your interest and some useful guides and techniques to help with you draw.

Great Book for Superhero and Action Artist
If you draw action comics you should get this book. There's not a lot to say about it, if you seen these kinds of drawing books then you know what to expect. The thing about this one is the focus is on action posing and it's very good at showcasing how to create those dynamic action poses. It was cheap and I mainly bought it for inspiration.-Nathyn Brendan Masters

Nice find!
The book is by no means a 5 star book. At best it's a really nice quick reference on how to illustrate some of the most used action poses in comics (running, jumping, flying, kicking, grabbing, punching, etc...). You really need to bring your knowledge of anatomy to the table as this book offers very little instruction in that regard. The drawings and "how-to" create action in comics step-by-step is nicely done. And, although the construction is very detailed and it goes from stick figure to ready to ink illustration in about 6 to 8 steps; it falls a little short in other respects. An additional chapter on basic comic book anatomy was sorely needed. I also felt that the book did not dedicate enough time to heads and hands which both give most artists a lot of trouble and are a great source of portraying action in comics. Overall I'm happy with my decision to buy this book and would strongly recommend it as a quick reference for illustrating your typical action poses.

Highly recommended!!
Love it. Lee G. breaks everything down simply and gives clear concise examples. There is no anatomy in this book, but I did not buy it for anatomy. I bought it for form and help in getting started step by step. Anatomy comes later when you start to flesh in. I would HIGHLY recommend this book

Detailed and easy to follow!
My son and I like this book verse some of the others we have seen. Unlike others, the drawing instructions are more in detail so you can follow along easily. I didnt want to get another hard to learn drawing book, so this one was a win in our household.

I will use this as a source to teach my animation and character drawing classes
I am a college professor and I have taught classes for years on character art. This is a great source of supportive visual reference for my students to be inspired by and build a foundation of anatomy and form. Some of the best foreshortening pose techniques are in this book

Fab book
If you or any of your family are a fan of drawing and comic books then this is for you. Even I managed to draw something that looked pretty good by following the step by step instructions. Was delighted with price also.
