Dezin 2L Electric Cooker

Love this hot pot! I use on our van- RV to cook, cooks fast, easy to clean. Has a high/ low control. I can cook eggs, meats, oatmeal, anything, I LOVE IT!!

I bought this pot as an alternative to using a burner with a pot on top or a stove that uses butane or propane. I live in a mobile home and when I am running the AC down here in Florida, which is most of the time I do not have the electric power to have A lot of appliances plugged in, but I was happy to discover I am able to use this cooking pot while then AC is on both on the low and the setting as well as the high. it is a powerful cooker. i thought that the low setting would not be very much kind of like a very low simmer, but as you can see in the video, it is quite hot even on low. if you are looking to brown meat or caramelized onion, you can start at the low temperature, but then I usually go to the high temperature to finish off and get a nice crust on things. I have Found that this is not the kind of appliance that you can let things simmer and walk away and say do the dishes or walk the dog change, baby. even on the low setting, it has quite a good simmer going so I have found it best to stay close by and stir things as long as you do that foods won’t overcook, burn or stick to the bottom of the pan. I have also used it to boil pasta and it does well with that, it meets all my needs and then some. very easy to clean up with a little warm water and a soapy cloth.

PRO Heats up to sizzling within 15 seconds. Easy to clean [no awkward nooks/crevices], but like all plastics, some foods will stain. It's good for 1-3 people main course, or more if it's a side dish. CON Has only 3 settings, as instructions state: 1 Off, 2 low ["boiling"], 3 high ["boil faster"]. It would be 10000x more versatile if low = simmer. I like that the steamer basket sits above the pot to maximize capacity, & I can boil something in the bottom simultaneously. But I worry about its longevity because it's also plastic & I think it may warp from use with the high heat Contradiction -- the photos on Amazon show a person tossing ingredients like a chef using a wok; however, the instructions warn to not lift the pot while it's on. Please note: the pot & the steamer are both kind of shallow, so if you want to cook/reheat something in a container [steamed eggs, e.g.] the container needs to be short. The lid has 2 vents, so (combined with the high temperature) liquids evaporate rather quickly. Overall, I'm satisfied & hope this lasts a long time.

I bought this early July and received it early August. I would use this to heat up food in my dorm, soups and noodles. The high heat does get too hot at times, which is why I use low power. But recently I was using the low power and suddenly the light turned off and it wouldnt continue heating. Its just the low power setting does not work anymore.

I love this pot I take it with me when I travel to warm up food and or cook food. It can take up some space but it's totally worth it to bring. This pot heats up fast and it's easy to clean

This was a great product when I first got it. Cooked food fast and well. Cleaned easy. However, I started noticing the handle would get pretty hot when in use. I would generally cook at the lower setting because it was quite warm at low. Recently I noticed a smell of burnt plastic. Handle would be too hot to hold. The last time I used it, the handle almost caught fire so I had to throw it away. I would be very careful and not leave it unattended.

Too heavy to handle would hate to think what it was like with the macaroni and cheese in the pot not immersible big setback. Thanks anyway for trying.
