BirchTree 6M(L) x 3M(W) x 2M(H) Polytunnel Greenhouse Pollytunnel Poly Polly Tunnel 6 Section Cover Only

I have had two previous covers for this size polytunnel, and this will be the third one ;having the frame I am limited to this type of replacement cover; and use it on my allotment . The life span is 2-2.5 years and it then comes apart at the seams! literally , the first parts to go are the securing tapes for the zip up doors, followed by the securing side D rings, the air ventilation screens rot out after 18months to 2 yrs, .The seams around the ends are not reinforced and need to be double stitched to make them stronger, towards the end of it's life the plastic within the square reinforcing deteriorates and rots away leaving air holes all over the place; In my experience i find that I have to secure the tunnel down with rope over the top to prevent extra strain on the plastic when it is windy ,otherwise it would rip easily due to the poor stitching around the ends, ( The first one I had I had to staple all around the ends when it started to rip) All said this is a very cheap product which if you don't mind the relatively short life span enables you to produce Veg and tomatoes from earlier in the season. You get what you pay for!!

I bought one of these polytunnels about seven years ago and grew various plants in it every year. It has been fantastic, much stonger than I expected, unfortunately it got ripped in severe winds this year as I had left one of the flaps up. So I have bought a new cover, there was a slight problem with the zip on one end so I contacted KMS who were absolutely brilliant and very quickly replaced it for another. I would most certainly recommend this product and KMS also.

I bought this cover to keep in reserve so that if my original cover got damaged I could replace it straight away. When I came to use the cover it fitted well but the second time we used the zip the metal tag to pull it closed snapped. Within a few weeks all the straps to hold the doors up had perished I kept trying different ways to repair them but with little success. Now I can see holes appearing in the polytunnel. I reported this to the supplier but although it had only been used for a few months it was out of warranty. This cover is rubbish and would not recommend it.

Did not put up till Apr/May so that bad weather could not damage it, size is good the only problem is the valcro tapes inside are not always long enough to fasten together onto the frame, then the valcro tapes on the window areas do not match up properly they are off line, was offered £10 off if bought new cover! which was at the time £50 + did not get the £10 off when purchased another cover.. the zip on one side as now developed a problem, possibly because of the hot weather? got good results getting my Begonias going.. sorry to gripe but as the price keeps increasing since bought mine you'd think it would be made near to perfect? was only £69 when first saw this now nearer £90otherwise not bad to start your plants off states to dismantle in winter!!

I fitted this replacement cover in May 2016 using hotspot tape by the end of June 2017 the cover had completely broken down just the reinforced webbing left on the top third of the cover. I would have expected it to have lasted as long as the original cover which was three years.Not impressed at all.

My rating is a reflection of what I experienced when purchasing my replacement cover which I may add was a little too short in reaching the ground and the a little tight in the circumference which did not give much flexibility, so when a heavy storm happened it ripped at the edges and became defective after that so shame on you.

Bought this to replace original cover on my poly-tunnel which had been shredded by the local fox and other vermin. These will normally last up to about 3 years after which the UV light starts to break down the plastic and it starts to break up. But for the cost of replacement I think this is acceptable. Delivery was prompt too.
