Great shoes, would buy them again
I love these shoes! Keen sizing seems a bit irregular, and these shoes are a half size larger than what I usually take, but they fit fine, are wonderfully comfortable, and look pretty snappy.

Not as cute in person as they were online
I just received these shoes and was so excited to try them on. They are absolutely adorable online, but when I pulled them out of the box I was pretty disappointed to see the "burnt henna" color was more of a dark orange-maroon color than the online photo indicated (it looks several shades lighter in color online). I was initially worried the shoes would be too big. I ordered a 9.5 when I normally wear a 9 in shoes. But these were actually too small. I am returning them, but not exchanging them. I can't believe the size is a whole size off, but that doesn't bother me as much as the color. The weight of the shoe was another surprise -- they are a lot heavier than I expected. I think if I'd ordered the 10 I'd have been comfortable enough in the shoes for short shopping trips, but I'm not sure I would want to wear them all day if I was going to be doing a lot of walking; they seem like they'd drag me down. As for general looks, the shoes are OK, but they really weren't as cute and foot flattering as I'd envisioned based on the online photo. They are very chunky and sneaker-like in appearance. Not quite as professional as I was expecting. Also, I noticed my feet felt several degrees warmer when I slipped on these shoes. Sure, they were tight and too small in that they pressed against the tip of my toes, but I think all this heavy leather, for all the marketing hype in the online ad, does not actually allow your feet to breathe. Ultimately, I would only recommend these shoes to women who like bulky, rugged shoes and who live in a cooler climate. I live in a city that is hot and humid for 9-10 months out of the year. I really need a lighter, cooler shoe. This was not the best choice for me.

Too short but very comfortable.
Like others, I found the sizing on these shoes to be off quite a bit; in my case by a size and a half. I have a small, narrow foot with narrow heels, and the good news about these shoes is that they ARE narrow, and they do not slip off as the heels are narrow as well. The strap gives the shoe even more protection against slippage. When I can actually find dress shoes--heels--that fit, I need a size 5.5. In Mizuno sneakers, I wear a size 6.5. So I bought two pairs of these shoes, in sized 6 and 6.5, figuring at least the 6.5 would fit. That was not the case. Even the 6.5 was a bit short for my right foot, which is just a tad longer than my left foot. Bottom line: I would have had to reorder in a size 7, and although they felt very comfortable, with good arch support, in the end, I worried that the 7 wouldn't fit and after all was said and done, I just didn't liked the way they looked on my feet as much as I thought I would, so I returned both pair of shoes. As always, I am still on the lookout for the perfect shoe--one that feels like a sneaker but doesn't look like it.

... at a brick and mortar store and they fit beautifully and that's why I gave the shoe 5 stars
I purchased a pair of these at a brick and mortar store and they fit beautifully and that's why I gave the shoe 5 stars. I saw these on line and didn't hesitate to buy another pair. Unfortunately, I couldn't even fit my foot into it. It was obviously mismarked and is not an 8.5M. I think these are one of the most comfortable shoes on the market. These were advertised as the last pair available so I couldn't exchange it. I will definitely purchase another pair at a later date.

Well made but sizing way off
I am an Australian size 7 and normally take a 6.5 in Keens (old style). Newer styles I might need a 7 at the most. This shoe was so short my toes crunched on the end. I am giving it another try with a 7.5 (which would be a ridiculous size on me in the old Keens) because I really like the colour combination and the look like they will last a long time as the appear to be well made. I am doing this because they are on special and hope to give the other pair a way as it is not worth sending them back. I like the support of the Keens but If this doesn't work I think I will have to stop buying shoes on- line because it just works out too expense with inconsistent sizing in one brand and between different brands ( so I will have to stick with the range we get here or find alternate brands). These get a three because they appear to be very well made but there sizing is completely different to any other Keen I have bought. Update when I bought the 7.5 - I could have bought an 8 and they would have been right with the thick insole in these. Solution found was to take thinner insole from other Keens shoes I had and swap. I put the thicker insole in the Toyah Mary Jane which still had heaps of room for my feet in the 6.5 and put thinner insole in these and they were very comfy and no foot pain all day

Too small
Cute shoes, I like the style but they fit more like a 7 than an 8.

Keep trying
Just too small and so it made it hard to find the right fit but I did not give up!!! Keen is great, you can probably get that from everyone else who loves keen. I ordered this 3 times and got the fit on the last order. they all went smoothly (returns/exchanges). I usually wear a 6/6.5. Bought a 6.5, 7 and then ended up with 7.5. Probably will not be wearing with socks.

Keen finally makes shoe true to size
I'm a 10.5 to 11 in Women's shoes. Depending on the cut and fit of a specific Keen shoe, I can barely fit the 11 or the 11 is just too plain small. This one actually feels like an 11. The shoe is taller in the toe box than any other Keen's I've tried and it is also fairly deep. I can actually wear socks with them, no problem, which I've never been able to do with a Keen shoe. I wear custom orthotics and sometimes they make a shoe not deep enough, even when I remove the factory insoles. After removing the factory insoles, these shoes are more than deep enough to accommodate the custom orthotics. I've even considered a small lift or over the counter shoe insert to make my feet just a tad taller in the shoe. These shoes seem durable and have good tread on the bottom for walking on all kinds of surfaces. I haven't taken them hiking in the woods, but I think they'd work well. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
