Better shifts. Stays cleaner longer.

best transmission fluid in automotive industry
This has always been my top pick for transmission fluid to have on hand. a great fluid that works on many vehicle applications and saves from having to keep other fluids on hand. just a great value and outstanding quality fluid.

High quality ATF
I used this in my daughter’s 2018 Sonata, around 4 quarts for a drain and fill. I know the fluid is not technically Hyundai approved but Valvoline has a solid reputation for quality ATF. I think this version is slightly lower viscosity for LV applications, maybe slightly better than the Maxlife red bottle. The Hyundai 6-speed seemed to like the new fluid - smooth shifts, no slipping, all is good.

Hey it's Valvoline Great transmission fluid
Regardless of what people say about Honda transmission fluid this works just fine and can substitute for a Honda I put it in at 112,000 I now have 130,000 I've changed it four times in that time period in order to make sure I had it 100% cleaned out of the old fluid.. and everything seems just fine

Top quality
I have used this in two 2011/2012 Toyota RAV4's with very good results. The 2012 is 70k miles, and it runs like brand new with this fluid in the trans and a set of new spark plugs. The 2011 is 90k miles and was exhibiting intermittent/random slippage. It was a single owner car with extensive service records on CarFax which it showed it having a transmission service. I was worried because the chances of them using the wrong fluid is pretty high. It turns out the fluid was overfilled. I drained the fluid and added 5 qts of this and the RAV has not slipped for days, driving over steep hills, highway and city--drives perfect. I plan on doing another drain and fill on each RAV when I install a Sonnax Zip Kit in the valve bodies.

I'm not a chemical engineer!
I can't comment on the ingredients just the brand. I believe Valvoline is a trusted, quality company. I feel warm and fuzzy with this in my Silverado transmission.

Kinda smells like the red jug used to.
I do an ATF drain and fill in my Hondas every other oil change. I had been using the red jug for several years and since I was out, I ordered a few gray jugs of "extended protection". I had noticed that red jug smelled slightly different the last time I bought ATF. I don't know if they changed the formula in the red jug and put the original formula in a gray jug, but I'll continue to use this.
