Perimeter Trip Wire Alarm Device 12 Gauge Accessories with .22 Option Early Warning Security System for Camping and Security

The .22 RIMFIRE ! Adapter is machined wrongIt’s centered and therefor will not work and I didn’t think to check for that ? So it’s basically useless to me . How can a company allow these back mistake of machining to be sent out , where is their quality control ?I’ve been in manufacturing for 40+ years and this type of mistake could and should never happen

This thing was hot garbage. I couldn’t get it to work. The spring isn’t powerful enough to set off a 12 ga and the cut is out of spec so you have to force it in. The hole for the “22 rim fire” is directly in the center, so it won’t fire a rimfire. Eventually I made so modifications and was able to get a couple rounds off but not consistently. I wish I could get my money back, but silly me decided to start drilling to make it work. Now it’s in the garbage…

I picked up this Tripwire for $36 because I was going camping and like the idea of having more protection. It's really well made and can be used again and again, so it's a good deal in my opinion.Setting it up was easy. You can attach it to things like trees or posts with just a few zip ties. It works by having a hidden string that, when pulled, makes a loud noise to warn you.Basically, it's a smart way to protect your camp without spending a ton of money, and I think it's great.It didn't get set off while I was camping this weekend but I slept a lot better knowing if an animal was getting close we'd be alerted and it would most likely have been scared away.

Bought two and setup before I left on vacation. Came back with both units tripped and neither 12 gauge shell fired. Adjusted firing pin to longest throw and tested, still no detonation. It seems that there's not enough spring pressure. I'm using premium shot gun blanks, so I feel confident that they're not the problem.

After trying 6, 22 blanks, it wouldn't wire. Sure seems the firing pin is striking in the center, but a 22 is a rimfire. Not sure I'll spend the additional money on 12 gauge blanks.

Works with both shotgun primers as well as .22 blanks just as needed. This is an excellent deterrent for would be thieves as well as a signaling device to alert me!

This will not fire a .22 cal rimfire cartridge or a shot shell primer, (in it's current configuration),it will NOT fit a 12gage shell. If you don't have a machine shop with a CNC machine. to fire a primer you will need to drill another hole in the firing pin, good luck with that.
