The book was nothing like an average smut, the characters were developed quite well and the author literally worked hard on the story development. I enjoyed this book very much. Definitely a must read if you love reading smuts with a great story!

I found the FMC to be smart, and thus relatable. For once. But I hated that there was so much romance, rainbows, and s** going on. It really ruined the plot for me.

Ahh it was so good! The plot is super interesting like I am watching a thriller movie with all the crime and gore. Lana is one hell of a lead. And that last line?! Can’t wait to read the next instalment to know how the story progresses.

Just like the title says The Risk. There are so many risks involved, especially towards the ending. My heart nearly jumped out at that time.And author, how did you end the first part like a suspense.MUST GIVE A TRY.

I'm loving Lana & her badas persona. Whatever happened to her was tragic and I'm glad that she got of the trauma. I can't see her as the monster she thinks herself to be because of the glimpses of her past, I can see why she wants revenge so badly. But I'm scared about what would happen when Logan finds out about her true identity. I'm quickly going to dive straight into the next book after this cliffhanger!

An amazing thriller! This is a debut book of this author and he did a fantastic job. The book was a little slow paced in the beginning. However, the story eventually picks up.The story sets in 2 different timelines and what I loved is the multiple POVs and eventually tying up the plot. Speaking about the plot, it was a rushed one and predictable.Overall, I would rate 4 stars.

Wasn’t sure what to think, but I actually enjoyed this quick and easy read! Cliffhanger at the end was nicely done.

The story was actually much better than what I've expected. This is the first of a 5 story books, but they are totally worth it... the story is very good, fast-reading and quite enjoyable.

Wow this was fast-paced and instantly hooked me. Great connection to all the characters and love the FMC. You’re given just enough snippets of the dreaded event from the last to keep you gagging for more.The terrible events of the past have led Lana to where she is now, seeking bloody revenge while increasingly embroiled with the seemingly-sincere and extremely-competent FBI special agent Logan Bennett.It’s short, kind of episodic in nature and you can easily see it as a TV series. Onto the next!
