And I'm comparing that to amazing pastas I've had in Italy
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely delicious! And I'm comparing that to amazing pastas I've had in Italy. This is also perfect for athletes. Whether you're training as an elite athlete, or you just take your training and fitness seriously, the challenge with just eating pasta is that it only provides you the carbs you need; you're left searching for a pure protein somewhere else. This offers the a more well-rounded meal option, where you can get your carb requirements and shot of protein as well.An excellent flavor, not different than making any other pasta, with the additional protein balance for athletes. My only pasta option I will be making moving forward!

If you can't eat Lobster, you're probably allergic to this too.
I've reached out to a few companies selling cricket-oriented foods. The generic warning is be careful if allergic to shellfish. That's not super helpful. There are 3 main varieties of shellfish allergy: lobster, crab, shrimp. You might be allergic to one, a combination of two, or all three. Cricket is not yet a regularly tested allergen and the allergy resources I've used to determine food safety do not yet (Nov 2018) include cricket beyond, "related to shellfish."I'm food curious and cricket makes a great claim for water use reduction. Intriguing.Of the shellfish allergies, I am only allergic to lobster. Shrimp and crab are fine so I figured I'd take a chance. This pasta is mostly regular pasta with cricket mixed in.**It is really just a way to test your reaction to cricket on a small scale before diving into something more crickety. For those of you with Lobster allergies, I would personally recommend a NO on this. I tested a tiny amount and had a small but similar reaction as though I had had lobster. I made sure there were no other foods to interfere - straight butter for cover (a personal favorite). While n should = 30 to be statistically significant, my n=1 sample size was enough for me. The reaction was very clear.Do your own diligence but for those of you with lobster allergies - particularly if severe, I'd really recommend against.Good luck folks!**It is NOT significantly lower in carbs 34g vs 39g - come on that's less than 13% reduction so the reviews making some keto or low carb claim are just wrong. It has no more protein than regular pasta, 9g in both cases. So again, ppl making claims that this is salvation for your pasta habit when you're on a diet, just stop.

I think there are better brands of pasta from crickets and grasshoppers
Wanted to try it, cause insect meal is the future. Very bleak future indeed- no unique flavor, very coarse texture takes forever to cook and does not cook uniformly.I think there are better brands of pasta from crickets and grasshoppers.I had cricket bread once that had a nice peanut flavor - don't expect it here

I was really intrigued by cricket protein as an alternative to animal protein (my fiancée practices a plant-based diet) so I think this is a great route for me
This is my third purchase, I was really intrigued by cricket protein as an alternative to animal protein (my fiancée practices a plant-based diet) so I think this is a great route for me. The big concern for me was taste and texture, I'm a pretty picky eater and I enjoyed preparing this pasta to my liking! Thanks Pappardelle's/ Lithic Nutrition!

Tastes just like pasta!
Even though it's made with cricket flour, it tastes just like regular pasta!I love the protein content. It means I don't always need to add beef or sausage to my dish. Just some nice sauce and garnish and you have a well balanced meal!

Delicious!
Tastes like whole grain pasta. You'd never assume you're eating bugs. Eating bugs is much more environmentally friendly than eating red meat, especially beef.

"PASTA MADE WITH 100% CRICKET POWDER"
I used this product with pizza sauce (prefered over the jarred sauces). Works real fine.
