My wife owns a "soldering" iron and we both use it. However, she has a problem returning the "soldering" iron to a place where I can find it after she uses it. Finally, I got fed up looking for the iron whenever I want to do some "soldering" and bought one of these. It came with a lot of soldering tips and soldering supplies, I wont be using. I'm happy to report that it arrived fully functional and works better than my wife's "soldering" iron. It seems to heat up the "solder" to a higher temperature and it creates more "solder" vapor. I can't speak to the longevity of this "soldering" iron but, the design looks very similar to my wife's and we've been "soldering" with that one for years. I'm positive this reaches over 420 degrees easily. UPDATE 10/10 stars. The battery life on this thing is absolutely insane compared to my old "soldering iron". I usually solder once a day in the evenings and with my "soldering" habits it literally lasts for weeks without being charged. Not only does the battery last, it keeps on "soldering" even though its been through some accidents. I ended up buying one of these because my wife's "soldering iron" eventually died. She also loves it btw. We were on a roadtrip and somehow she forgot she had brought her "soldering iron" in her bag. She also forgot to tap the button to turn it off, to be fair I never turn mine completely off either. Somehow the button was depressed for hours. I noticed a "solder" smell in the car and the faint smell of something burning. The "soldering" cartridge was so hot that it ruptured and melted "solder" all over the place. I thought for sure the iron was through but no. With a fresh charge and removal of the old "soldering" cartridge we were back in business. This is truly and amazing value and highly recommended!

I had some tiny wires to solder, a plug in style iron was way to large, so I looked for a cordless iron. It was at my door in 2 days, got it out and charged it up, the way it works is cool, you can set it up to Just turn on and it heats up OR set it up for momentary heat by holding the button down, let up and it shuts off. Once the new tip is solder primed, it heats up in about 10 seconds, gets the job done and shut it down. It comes with one pointed tip which is fairly large, a suggestion would be to add a slimmed down pointed tip and a flat tip, and charge a few dollars more for the extras. It worked quite well, and I dont have any complaints about it. Very handy.small

Works great! Looks good, works exactly as advertised. There is no temperature control, and the case is entirely metal, which does get hot with prolonged use which seems like a medium-sized oversight design wise. It looks just like a vape cart though, so be aware of that tidbit. Overall perfectly fine product for the price if you need a cordless iron and don't care about heat settings.

So convenient that threads fit 510 threads and the heating element works like a herbal oil vaporizer, i wonder what other uses this amazing little tool would have

I really wanted to like this ELMCONFIG Cordless Soldering Iron for quick, bench-free repairs, but it is unfortunately more of a toy than a tool. While the 1100mAh capacity sounds sufficient for small jobs, the actual heat delivery is abysmal. The Failure Points: Poor Thermal Recovery: The iron struggles to reach a temperature high enough to melt standard lead-free solder. Even once it "heats up," the moment you touch a component, the tip temperature drops instantly and doesn't recover. You end up with cold solder joints and a lot of frustration. Battery Inconsistency: After only two full charge cycles, the unit started behaving erratically. The indicator lights would signal a full charge, but the iron would shut off after less than 60 seconds of use. A tool that you can't trust to stay powered for a simple wire splice is useless. Build Quality: The threaded connection for the tips feels loose and gritty. There is a noticeable "wobble" in the tip while working, which is a major safety concern when dealing with precision electronics. Final Verdict: Save your money and stick to a name-brand butane iron or a portable TS100 style unit. This "wireless gun" simply doesn't have the wattage or the build quality to handle even the most basic DIY repairs. It’s an exercise in frustration.

this battery is definitely bigger than your standard size vape !! there's probably some people who won't like that but i don't mind too much so i still gave it the full five stars. plus, it most likely has more battery life and a stronger battery than the average bad quality small vape that you'd get from your dispo for more expensive. it's bigger but it's sleek and feels high quality, it comes with a cap, a charger, and a small plastic carrying case which is super convenient for travel (ﾉ>ω<)ﾉ it hits really smooth so far too !! i'd definitely buy this again but i hope it doesn't die on me in a month ('ー`) will update !

This soldering iron has a nice, long lasting battery, and it heats up incredibly quick. The cap that arrived on mine doesn't screw on, but is still useful for holding the iron while it cools. It's nice, small, and sleek, and definitely worth the price. Although, the tip it came with did break very quickly, so look out for that!
