Scubapro Octopus accessories

I use it to clip my octopus to a D ring on my BCD and it works for that. It's useful to the extent that if your octo detaches or you use it to fill your SMB all you have to do is place the hose clip in the vicinity of the magnet and it reattaches itself - much less fiddly way of keeping trim and your gear tidy.In the event of an emergency it will detatch easily - so yeah all good so far.I can't tell if the magnet interferes with my compass - I don't think so but the jury is still out...What I don't like:1. After just 2 years of use it's starting to rust - -despite my being meticulous about washing my gear after every dive2. The cheap and nasty plastic clip AND3. The price for what its is - but that's Scubapro....The

Exactly what I wanted, arrived promptly and good quality and easy to fit. You will need a small cross-head screwdriver to secure the section to the hose of your octopus. Be aware if you have multiplex hoses as I did they provide a small piece of plastic buffer that can be cut to size so that the unit does not slip and slide along the length of the hose.Ideal product, and if you are concerned about he magnet affecting your compass just order a retractable holder so you can bring your compass up in front and away from the magnet. By me tests further than 18cm and the compass is unaffected.

If you are like me who has tried a-z types or octo holds and still find either your octopus gets loose underwater or few are so tight that you feel your buddy might not be able to release them, then this octopus holder is for you.The magnet is quite strong and keeps the octopus securely attached and ready to release on demand. Underwater aim your octopus end toward the magnetic end and bring it closer, it will simply pull it in.

excellent product, a little tricky positioning the magnet on hose but once done works a treat

Really surprised me how strong this was. The two parts naturally come together and fit perfectly even when you just vaguely point them at each other, snapping nicely into place. Allows for super quick release with no faffing about, and even simpler replacement after use.Although expensive for what it is, I'm happy with the purchase.

Good bit of kit - easy to put into the hose and then clip onto a bc d-ring. Slight worry about it affecting my compass..!

Great clip and as an added bonus you can hear an audible click when the magnets connect when under water.

Haven’t used it yet, but it looks like it will be fine.
