LONGYEE( TM ) Greenhouse Trellising Kit with RollerHook (6)

First year growing tomatoes or anything for that matter in a greenhouse. Didn't want to use canes as didn't think they'd be very secure.I've seen videos where tomato plants are wound around strings so thought these would be easier to use. Instructions are absolutely useless so I had to refer to photos online to see how others had used them.The white roller the string is on has one tooth that catches on the metal clip so you can lock the line. This should be at least 2 teeth and ideally 3 or even 4. One just doesn't give enough adjustment. As soon as the plant gets heavy and the string goes a little slack it needs an entire revolution or it can't be made any tighter.The clips to attach the plants to the string are very fiddly and I could never get them in the right place. I ditched them and used a mixture of winding the plant round the string and some soft tie.The string itself is a bit too narrow and tends to cut into the plant so I think I'll strip it all off over the winter and put something more suitable on for next year's bumper crop.The eave height of my greenhouse is about 1.5m or about 5 foot in old money. I attached a steel wire running the length at that height and attached the roller to that. Take away the length of the roller and hanger, a bit of sag in the wire and the stretching of the string and I'm down to 1.3m which has been over taken by the plants a long time ago.Not a bad product but could be improved with clear instructions and some fine tuning of the roller.

Nice product which makes it easy to train vines in the greenhouse. I hang the bracket on a cable so the fixing rings are not used but will be useful to hang other plants with. To stop the twine becoming slack there is a "cam" on the reel which locks and prevents the reel rolling back you just squeeze the metal side bar to release the cam allowing free rotation. The included plastic stem clips are good to. Would recommend.

The hangers are pretty good but the plastic clips are not really great, a lot of them were broken,seem quite brittle !!!

Fantastic product. Incredibly easy to use and set up. The roller has a brake with a simple release. The attachments can have the string next to the hinge so they stay in position and hold the plant. There are hoops and hooks depending on your preferance. The string is strong and I would guess I have several years worth. If I need more I will certainly buy again. I have 3 packs for now and considering a 4th.

Well, one line fell apart..poor manufacturing ..sadly as usual. Works ..just..but not impressed. Get a few bamboo sticks instead!

They work well. I hang mine from cable in the greenhouse and a tall metal bean frame over my outdoor tomatoes so I haven't used the greenhouse rings and hangers, but they will come in handy.
