We ended up with one lighter then picture. But it clearly lets you know your skin will vary. I felt like a kid at Christmas! very pleased! it was much bigger than I anticipated Bought it for a bedroom and had to put it in the living room. I get so many compliments. It is thin so I wouldn’t put in a high traffic area. Although I’ve had it for many months now and holding up very well to floor use although we tend to take shoes off in the house. No smell. And love it’s from a slaughter house and not just for decorating. yes, I’ll buy again but only from this company.

This cowhide rug is just alright. The pattern was great, but the cut was done very poorly. Rug won't lay flat and folds over or buckles up in places as the cut won't allow it to lay 100% flat. The front of the rug by where the neck would be is shaped like a manta ray instead of how it is depicted in the photos. You get what you pay for, and I'd rather just pay an extra $100-$150 for a nice one that will last a life time.

I understand that this is a real hide. I was just really disappointed that the color was not even close to the photo. It smelled so gross when I first unboxed it. I wasn't even sure that I was going to be able to get through the "airing out period". My hide was ivory with very little brindling. I ended up using it in my son's room and not in the place I wanted because it didn't match at all. I gave this rug 3 stars because there is nothing wrong with the quality. It is a sturdy rug. But the smell and the color was a turn off.

I couldn't be more impressed with this rug, especially for the money. The color is rich, and there are no scars, repaired holes, or branding mark. I ran a steam mop over it, and that took care of the wrinkles caused from shipping.

So I saw similar rugs like these in other shops retailing for well over $200. This rug not only exceeds the price point, but also exceeds in quality. The fur is amazing and I'm really pleased with it.

This is my 3rd cowhide purchase, 1st time from this seller and this is the 1st cowhide I have ever seen with just a cheap nonsensical cut. It’s a terrible cut! The hide itself is nice and the color is nice, hence the 2 stars but the cut is sooo bad that it truly changes the look and feel of the cowhide rug. I’m going to keep it though because it’s always a hassle returning something to amazon.... I can put this rug under a table or out of the way and put a nicer one in the center of my room.

These rugs are very nice. They are a little slippery when in stocking feet but they really look gorgeous on our hardwood floor. Liked the first one so much that we bought a second.

I love my cowhide!! I own a boarding and riding stable and am finally getting an office and wanted it to be chic. The strong leather smell was something to contend with but being stubborn and persistent, I found that misting it well with vodka (yes cheap vodka!) has helped. Burning a candle makes a huge difference and there is hardly any leather smell at all, just great candle scent. LOVE IT!
