Just applied these to mine and my boyfriend's rods tonight. (So easy a girl can do it ;D) We purchased because a tape measure is one less thing we'd have to carry down, and take a chances losing to our fishing spots with us. It was an easy application. To be honest I questioned how it would show up on his camo rod but it shows up very clearly. The blow dryer adhesives it to the rod and securly around the bumps on the rod. Adds a classier, not tacky look to the rods as well. I can't speak on how it does on the lakes or when It gets wet yet but so far it seems of good quality and that we won't have any issues. I can update on that after our fishing trip this weekend!

These are great. They stick well to the rod. Just make sure to clean your rod with a microfiber rag and some alcohol and then let it dry. These are ideal to get measurements to ensure you follow regulations and not have to carry around extra weight from a tape measure. Shipping was a bit long though. Overall great value.

This decal is simple to apply and use, however I do find it difficult to get an accurate reading with a fish in your hands and especially while sitting on a kayak. I’m glad they sent two as I have one on my rod and one on my yak. However, I’m replacing their use only after a few weeks with a Yak Gear Fish Stik for my yak which is only $7 more. Edit: Bumped up the rating by a star because of the excellent customer service. The company contacted me and gave me several unexpected options to choose from because they stand behind their product and they want their customers to be happy. With customer service like that, they will go a long way!

This is a great product at a great price. For years I have hated those giant vinyl ones that eventually get nasty and discolor your gel coat. These show up very well on any background yet remain unobtrusive. I put one of mine on a stainless grab rail just above the primary fish box on my boat and the other on one of my go-to rods. They are easy to apply and quite durable so far. The only caution I have is to make sure that you do not tug on the sticker during application because the material will stretch slightly. Measure it after application to ensure accuracy and avoid keeping anything over slot or throwing back a fish that is actually legal.

The ease of application was great. I purposely bought this measure tape for the top of my fish box in my drift boat so we can quickly measure salmon and steelhead and get back to fishing. No more nasty vinyl tapes that smell like something dead in your gear if you forget to rinse it. I realize this is made for a pole. Would be great if there were options for color or solid numbers so when applied against a gray color, the Mark's stand out. Came with 2 tapes, son put one in his drift boat too. Great product!! ** I want to revise my review. The initial intent of this product is for Rods and we used the application on our Drift Boats, not seeing a different product that IS bolder and larger for boat applications by this company. KUDOS to Charlie, Founder of Quick Measure Fish Rulers for his quick response and keeping his products outstanding while wanting to make sure his customers are 100% satisfied!!

Went on fine. Sticking well after two months of every other day use. But the numbers need to be bolder, and a different color than the index marks. I feel dumb paying this much money for two stickers. Would buy again, but only if they improved the product.

Heard about these things from friends online and ordered as soon as I found this listing. Excellent materials and adhesive and pretty straightforward application. The markings are high-contrast and easy to read on pretty much any rod - I have them on a powder blue and black Penn rod and an all-black Daiwa and on both, they're easy to pick up and read. Accuracy is spot on, though you will want to take care not to stretch the material as you apply it to the rod. Speaking of installation, I appreciate that a couple of alcohol pads are included to prepare/clean the surface you're applying them to. I will also note that some additional work is recommended if you're installing these on multi-piece rods. It's worth taking the time to assemble the rod and use a pencil or pen to mark where the joint is on the male end. At that point, install on the butt of the rod, trimming off any excess and then install the remainder of the ruler on the next section. The die cutting is good, but on one of mine it didn't quite go through the sticker, so a little help in the form of an xacto knife was needed. Nothing to dock a star for, but worth noting.

Update: The one on the guardrail looks just like it did when I put it on there in 2023. I love this product. Allows me to be able to quickly measure my fish and get it back to the water. Not only didI put it on my rod but found it was more useful putting it on my net handle since I usually have the net I hand. Also put it on a guardrail where I fish about 6 months ago and it has held up very well to heavy rains and direct sun, looks like I just put it on. I would definitely recommend this product
