Bought this for Nan, who recently got a new bed for her guest room and wanted to make sure everything was safe and comfortable for her grandchildren. It took a little time to find something that matched her home décor, but this one ended up being absolutely perfect. It looks beautiful in the room, fits the style of her house, and gives her peace of mind knowing it’s safe for the kids. The Grisham Spear Point Heavy-Duty Window Bars are just what I needed to secure a property. They are somewhat basic built quility but it is an extra layer of defence. The are pricy but they are a good choice for the money. They come in different sizes to fit most windows. They attach with screws and wall brackets that are sold separately (not like some cheap ones that need strong adhesive to attach). These are overall very functional.

These are great for peace of mind. I installed them on the inside of my barn windows (not on the outside like they are shown.) I can still open my windows and get air and I can remove them as I bought different screws to attach them so I can take them off if I need to. Easy to install and sturdy enough that someone would really want to take the time and effort to get inside. Highly recommend.

Bought this for the garage door. With all the tools and toys, a window is easy to break when no one is home. Square tube, decorative pattern, and 5 arrow tips on the ends of the rods. No holes, so I had to predrill. Was too wide, but a Sawzall trimmed it nicely. 14 screws supporting it, I feel better about my property being a little more secure. I do recommend. Have fun

I realize you can just smash a hammer threw the 3" bars then reach in and undo the locks, so I paired this with a a secondary dead bold which is much stronger than original, plus really confusing to unlock. I ordered few extras to add to bottom and top, that way reaching through broken glass and trying to figure out why the door won't open will be a total pain. I feel this product could have more welding to strengthen the bars connection points, but it seems adequate. They do seem more secure, and I'm happy to have them. I been broken into through this exact door before from prying. I wanted to add that for a door install 1/4 inch carriage bolts work great. Under the round bolt head there's a square part for wrenching, which that square fits inside the bar attachment hole. So the carriage bolt head sits flat, and cannot be loosen from outside the door.

I have a manufactured home with the non-flush windows so needed the 3" ext. mounting brackets. These installed in no time at all once the centering, measuring, and leveling was done. I installed two of the 24" x54" bars and used the tie brackets to join them and it works great. Most important, measure, measure, measure, and ensure which brackets you will need to use since they are ordered separately. The most difficult part of installing was just the measuring the window to center the bars. The bars themselves; even connecting two together was fast and easy; installed two in about 30min. (again, the measuring and math took the most time). They aren't the expensive custom fit iron security bars but they do the job and my windows are inaccessible to enter. Note if used for bedroom windows, check local codes for you may need to order the emergency escape kit. Also I used 5/16" lag screws instead of the one-way security screws that are such a hassle.
