Easily fitted, versatile, dad is pleased as punch.
One of the difficulties I hadn't considered when dad got a walking frame was that he would no longer be able to carry anything. The independence of movement the frame allows is tempered by the limits on what he can do. So this caddy is an excellent addition to the frame and allows him freedom of movement and a feeling of usefulness, which is so important as our bodies begin to fail us. I'd considered buying a tray for the walker at the time but thought he might refuse to use it at all, or that the movement of the frame would knock whatever was on tray onto the floor. After seeing him take to the frame so well, and noticing that the movement was a smooth glide, it was time to fit a tray and this one was well reviewed and suitable for the narrow frame he has. It fits cups and plates securely, the sides of the top tray are a very good height, and there's also a blue attachment that allows a cup to be held securely in the middle. If there's not enough room on the top then it lifts off and there's a generously sized space below that will take pretty much any kind of crockery or personal items you like. Importantly, things don't clank around and it adds no appreciable weight to the user of the frame so as to make it difficult or unwieldy to move. Lastly - I had to adjust the legs to make the walker more level to make sure things didn't topple backwards. My dad's preferred setting of the walker is to have the front a fair bit higher than the back but he's quickly adjusted and it's a nice feeling to see him once again being able to clear his own cups etc if he wants. So overall it's five stars. It's very simple to fit, the build quality seems perfectly good, it's well designed and blends fairly well with the walker. Top marks, I just wish we'd have bought it earlier.

I have my independence back!
I’ve been using a Zimmer frame and sometimes crutches since I broke both my legs and needed surgery. Recovery is slow but I can get around with support. I needed someone with me to fetch me things like food, drink etc but I desperately wanted my independence back. I came across this caddy for the Zimmer frame and it’s been a life line. The caddy attached easily to the front of the Zimmer frame and the cup holder is a great addition. It’s easy to clean and u can fit other things inside the caddy if need be, although I haven’t really used this feature. I feel much more independent as I can get my own things now. I can make my lunch in the kitchen and bring my food into the living room on the caddy. It came with clips so u can not only hook the caddy over the front of the frame but also clip it on for extra security. I haven’t attached the clips as I like to be able to remove the caddy easily. It’s just a matter of lifting it off the frame. I feel it is secure enough even without the clips. For me it does the job. I’m glad I bought it.

Robust, easy to fit caddy tray
I was looking for something like this but could not find the right one. I am glad I bought this British made Buckingham walking frame caddy, composed of caddy, tray and mug holder. It is regulation grey, fitting in nicely with most walking frames. It is also a reasonable size and sits flush with the frame itself without jutting out either side. It was very easy to fit and just slotted over the top of the frame. You get a couple of clips if your frame is a different size but I cannot comment on whether this works well or not. I would have liked to have given five stars as it does just what I wanted it to do. However, it does not take a full sized dinner plate as suggested but will take a smaller one. Seller should really amend this claim to avoid negative comments, which the item does not deserve. It also comes with a mug holder, but it will not house a very large one, just a cup or medium sized mug. There is no room for a plate and the mug together but it is fine for my needs. You can keep smallish things in the caddy part such as glasses, reading material and so on. I have just had a knee op and need the frame to get around. The caddy has given me a degree of independence since I have been able to carry light things such as refuse sack, washing etc. on top. It would not take heavy objects. I have also been able to do some light pottering in the garden and have moved my geraniums into the greenhouse by placing them on the tray, obviating the need for moving them with only one hand on the frame. I would recommend this item as long as you do not need it for a plate and mug together or heavier objects. I am very pleased that I have bought it.

Only for non folding walking frames
It will only fit frames with a straight front edge. Which are walking frames that do not fold up. Folding frames seem to predominantly have a bent/curved front, because the caddy has a straight edge it does not fit my Mum’s folding walkers. As another reviewer has mentioned the blue cup holder can’t be stored inside the caddy. It’s also non adjustable so will only fit one size of cup/glass. I’m unconvinced that it could be much use for drinks unless they’re in a travel mug or sippy cup.
