A functional but disappointing dock
I got this as my first steam deck dock and was excited to use it. I plugged in the power cord and the HDMI cable and then connected it to my TV to be be shown nothing. After some troubleshooting I removed the power cord and unplugged it from my deck. I then plugged it back into the deck and it connected to the TV. I was then able to plug in the power cable... As you can see it is a bit of a trick to use. I have since received another dock that does not have this issue. If you received this dock as a gift it will work but if you are buying it I would suggest another option.

connects and charges but can damage
Doc is of good size and has connections to add charging, networks and external monitor/tv to steam deck. the issue with it is most of the doc is metal and has sharp edges on sides that silicone does not cover. If silicone had more coverage would be best.

The dock works, kinda. My minimum is HDMI 2.0 which the ad claims this dock can do. It's more like HDMI 1.95ish. Basically it does not work out of the box. I was able to get 1440p at 120hz stable using xrandr on Linux and CRU on Windows manually. It does not go beyond 1440p 120hz but the HDMI 2.0 standard will go up to 144hz. No other option than 1440p 60hz is available without adding it manually. I do not have a 4k display to test 4k 60hz. I can most likely say that it will not do 4k 60hx out of the box and it's not worth the effort really. Also I got weird issues where the Ethernet stopped working until I plugged out and plugged in the display. I'm going to buy steams dock now and I would recommend you do the same. If you want a seamless experience that works out of the box always reliably everytime, don't buy this.
