Excellent value AC/DC TIG welder!
This is an awesome little AC/DC TIG welder! As a beginner TIG welder myself, I've been really impressed by how easy the welder is to setup and use. ARCCAPTAIN includes basicallly everything you need to get welding right out of the box. The only things you'll need to add are your argon gas bottle, PPE equipment, filler rods, and some additional tungsten electrodes. The included torch consumables for the WP-26 torch are fine for getting started but I'd definitely recommend getting a stubby collet/gas lens kit to make the overall torch more compact and give yourself a few larger cup sizes for increased shielding gas coverage. ARCCAPTAIN even offers such a kit. I really like the on-demand cooling fan of this welder. It's much nicer than listening to the fan endless spin away even when the welder isn't being used. The TIG200P ACDC offers a lot of user controls without being too overwhelming for a beginner like myself. It probably doesn't have as many advanced arc control features as a much more expensive unit, but that is probably actually better for someone just starting out. You still get full control of all standard TIG parameters (pre/post flow time, starting/ending current, ramp up/down time), plus pulse functionality, and the option of doing AC welding with square or triangular wave (AC balance and frequency adjustable). These settings alone will be enough to keep me busy for a long time as I learn the art of TIG welding. ARCCAPTAIN offers a separate foot pedal controller for the unit and I suggest picking it up if you want to have pedal control of the amperage. The pedal/torch trigger interface connector on the welder is a XS12 series aviation connetor which I have not seen used before on any other welding brand so finding an alternative pedal that would be compatible with the ARCCAPTAIN would be difficult unless you're up for modifying the connetor on the cable yourself. The ARCCAPTAIN pedal is a bit large and bulky but it gets the job done fine. Because I'm just learning how to TIG weld and can't provide a fair assesssment of the units performance yet, I took it into my work where we manufacture fluid control equipment for semiconductor fab tools. One of our professional welders tested the TIG200P for some stainless steel DC welding and was really impressed by the performance of this welder. For the price point, he agreed this is definitely the best budget friendly welder he's ever used and would be great for a beginner like myself or a hobbyist that can't justify spending 2-4X as much money for a unit from the big Blue or big Red brands. I'm really looking forward to continuing to hone my TIG welding skills with this unit and start using it for my automotive restoration and other hobby projects.

This welder has honestly exceeded our expectations.
My husband picked the ARCCAPTAIN TIG AC/DC 200A thinking it would be a solid starter machine, but it has turned out to be far more capable than we imagined. From the first arc strike, the arc is smooth, stable, and easy to control. The settings are intuitive, the display is clear, and dialing in the machine for both steel and aluminum has been simple and consistent. The AC balance and frequency controls make aluminum work surprisingly clean, and the pulse feature gives excellent control for thin material. It runs quietly, stays cool, and feels very well built for its size. Switching between 110V and 220V has been convenient, and it performs great on both. This welder has given him the confidence to practice more, learn more, and improve his TIG skills every time he uses it. For the price, the performance and quality are impressive. This is not just a “budget” welder — it is a genuinely capable machine that delivers professional results. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a dependable AC/DC TIG machine without spending thousands.

Awesome little machine!
This machine works great! Came with everything I needed to get started short of some filler rod. Bought some tungstens, boss gave me his old small argon bottle, and the foot pedal… and I was in business! I’m a barebones beginner and this machine is very intuitive and easy to use once you understand what the settings all do and what they are. The pedal is a must have in my opinion. You gain a level of control you simply can’t compensate for without an immense amount of experience with tig welding. My welds here are trash I know, but I did manage to get some halfway decent beads going with good penetration in .060” 5052 aluminum plate using 1/16” 4043 filler rod. I definitely dipped my tungsten many times, burned the rubber off my gloves onto the plates, and burnt through the plates.. but I was still surprised at what I could do. Especially after everyone telling me how absolutely impossible TIG welding was. It has pulse which I played with, made it easier to maintain a cadence to place filler, which resulted in a more uniform weld when I did use it. It arcs up and welds great as long as you don’t accidentally dip the tungsten. If you suddenly see green or your arc jumping around.. just put in another tungsten. Trust me, the weld DOES NOT even out. I haven’t done any steel or stainless or any exotic metals yet, but I’m pleasantly surprised even as a beginner I was able to put down lap joint beads with a $650 machine. I have a long way to go, but this welder is absolutely worth it. I can already see myself being able to grow as much as I will ever need with this one machine. PS: I’m sorry for my horrible welds and especially that fillet weld. If you don’t tell anyone, neither will I.

Love it!
This has got to be one of the top performing machines I’ve used. I’m actually going to switch all my portables in our shop. Great machine!

Very good welder for a great price!
So far this welder has been amazing! I have only used it on 220v with aluminum but as a beginner Tig welder I’ve been able to (with the help of a lot of YouTube videos) get some pretty decent welds. I did have an issue with the ground clamp. The way the one it comes with would get really hot, to the point that it was melting the wire casing. I’ve generally been using the machine between 90-140 amps. The manufacturer sent me a replacement without much hassle although the shipping took a long time. I ended up having to cut off about 6” of wire and then properly crimping on a much better/thicker lug and then reattaching to the clamp and so that that fix has worked perfectly. Hopefully they fix the ground lug as that seems to be the root of the problem.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
If I could give 0 stars for this Welder I would! I was very excited and looking forward to a decent reliable TIG welder that does AC/DC. I opened the box to weld 2 jobs for customers that have been waiting… When I got it out the Gas connection was completely cracked. I was hoping I could get by and still get enough seal to use it.. but of course it leaks. Having an issue out of the box is one thing. But my issue is because I filed a warranty claim per their warranty instructions on their website. Included: issue, my information, pictures of the issue, proof of purchase receipt, and serial number. This was submitted August 4th. As of today August 18th EOD I have not received one single email reply back. I was on the fence between Yeswelder & Arc Captain. I have used Yeswelder’s warranty department before and it was great! I went out on a limb with a new brand based on the great reviews I saw…. But I will NOT recommend this to anyone because if you can’t honor your warranty and stand by your product or even attempt to acknowledge your customer then that’s a big NO from me. I want a refund. I’m done, I have honestly dealt with lots of warranty departments for tools etc. but this is by far the worst. HUGE waste of money, and now I am confident if I have any other issues this and anything else will not be fixed. So disappointed… I will be going back to all Yeswelder tools and equipment for budget welders from now on. SMH 🤦🏻♂️

Welder arrived with power cord sliced.
The welder is great and works as advertised. However, it was packaged at the factory with the power cord coiled up under the welder. The cord is a very soft rubber, so it arrived with multiple slices in it from rubbing on the bottom edge of the welder case during shipment. I opted to just hit up the box store for a better cable and plug and rewired it myself. Problem solved, and now I have a longer, heavier gauge cord. Just be prepared to go that route or return the welder and try again with no guarantees the next one arrives any better. AL other cables and accessories were packaged in their own, smaller boxes inside the main box and arrived in good condition.

The ARCCAPTAIN TIG Welder AC/DC 200Amp with Pulse, and it has exceeded all my expectations! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The setup was incredibly easy, and I was welding in no time. The performance is outstanding—smooth arcs and excellent control make it perfect for both aluminum and steel projects. The pulse feature is a game-changer, allowing for precise welds and better heat management, especially on thinner materials. The build quality is impressive; it feels durable and reliable, which is essential for any serious welder. Plus, the included accessories are a nice bonus, making it a complete package right out of the box. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this welder offers incredible value and versatility. Highly recommend the ARCCAPTAIN TIG Welder for anyone looking to elevate their welding game!

Really good ac/dc tig welder
This welder works really well. For the money, it is an outstanding value. Only a few gripes. Mine didn't come with a screen protector. Not sure if this was an open box item. Also, there wasn't any sticker on the right side of the machine with welding info. There are a lot of similar ac/dc tig welders out there, but I like the screen on this one. It is a decent quality product, at a great price. Happy with it so far.

Great price
Received the first welder it was defective and was returned with no problem. However it took months (Oct. to Jan.2024) to receive the refund for the assurance for this machine . Ordered a second welder, this turned out to be a total disappointment. Received it, opened the box, found a broken piece on top loose, removed the foam cover and the secondary box, only to see the welder completely broken. The front of the welder was not even attached. You could see the transformer, it was terrible. This was just looking at it still in the inner box. Immediately put the secondary box back in without opening it. Put the foam cover back in and immediately did a return. Something went on here, as this was double boxed and the outer box was in really bad shape when it was received. Shameful, as this could be a really good machine. Third one being ordered, hopefully it is in one piece and no defective parts, that would be great.

The good and the bad
You know what? I watched and read through a lot of reviews on the acdc 200p and decided to take the risk on this welder. The main objective for me was to weld aluminum without breaking the bank. If I sub out my aluminum welding projects, I would have spent more than the cost of this welder after 3 or more projects so it made sense to just buy it. The good It has every feature you need to weld aluminum like HF start, frequency adjustment Hz, balance adjustment (cleaning/penetrating), enough amperage, a good torch (standard too, no goofy one-off sizes), and AC setting. So it has the base essentials for making a strong quality weld. Welds 1/4 aluminum just fine which is the most I usually need to weld anyway. The duty cycle is decent enough that there isn't too much downtime. The bad I was welding 1/4 inch at 160-175 amps which makes me think that what is displayed on the interface isn't actually what the machine is putting out for amperage. The ground clamp is copper but the gauge of cable they used is entirely too thin. The insulation smokes up quickly after a few passes at 160 amps. The cable is very hot. Eventually, I'll replace the ground cable with something thicker and make it a little shorter. The length of the ground cable is handy but there's far too much resistance which is probably affecting the overall performance of the machine. I would have paid the extra $50 bucks for the extra copper where it counts the most!
