So not recommended to buy at all. This was used ONLY Mondays for no more than 20 min. One time per week for no more than 20 min. ... Everything falling apart. I bought 2 of them and second one has problem with puling. Unfortunately it will go to trash. So try to find better than this. ... There is no button to release rope. To release rope you need to hold button so long. ... Remote control was great idea but button simple broke. ... I contacted seller and they told me unfortunately they can't help with this. Only some troubleshooting and nothing else.

I used this hoist on a gantry I built, I have only used the wireless remote it lifted both my air compressor and welder in and out of my truck a few times throughout the day as I was mounting them in place. after two days of hard, and I mean hard use this hoist held up to its weight specs and well as its continued power, for lift after lift. personally I highly recommend this hoist for the home use for those who are looking for a reliable tool that will not break the bank.

We had to swap out very a heavy (1800 lb) forklift battery. We positioned the new battery under the lift and only needed to lift it about 4 inches off the floor to get a pallet jack underneath so we could roll it to the forklift. Using lifting strap through holes on the battery case, and attached that to the lift hook, this lift did the job that would have been impossible without it! Made a scary and almost impossible job one we did with confidence! Highly recommend.

Poor quality overall. The remote control never worked and the noise is deafening when at work.. the long wired control is convenient. I only use it to remove heavy tree trunks after storms here in Florida. The winch is OK for the price, but don’t expect a long life.

Just going by the price, this might be a decent buy if you need a 200 - 300 lb lifting capacity. I've used this for a couple of months to lift a few items up to a second story shop. It works well although you can hear it struggle and jump a bit when under load. This weekend I attempted to lift 500 lbs upstairs. It was very slow, and I paused 3-4 times during the lift to let the motor cool. Even with this, the motor began smoking near the end of the lift. The day following this lift, the hoist was no longer capable of moving down and would only move up, even bypassing the limit stop and eventually destroying itself by snapping the cable. I assumed buying something way over-rated for my purposes would make up for the 'optimistic' ratings provided on this unit, but I guess running at 25% capacity was just too much for this little guy.
