I wear this belt every day with my work pants and jeans. Keep in mind this is a tactical style belt and would most likely not be worn with formal dress slacks. I appreciate how, with my ever changing waist line, this belt will prove to be handy. There are no more punching in between holes like I would with my leather belts. I where a retractable lanyard daily with a metal clip. I have been through over 100 cycles of placing it on and removing the clip. So far no visible wear marks, I will update this review after 6 months on this exact topic. Back to pairing this belt to standard jeans. The belt comes with an elastic "belt retaining loop" as I am calling it. This is the stand along last loop that holds the tail of the belt close to your waist. My personal experience is that I cannot slide the belt with this loop through the jean loops themselves. I find myself threading the entire belt through all the jean loops, then slide on the belt the "retaining loop" mentioned above with care taken to squeeze it just so, to fit through the jean loops and into its final position. Then feed the belt into the locking half of the holding mechanism and latch it for the day. Again I only mention this because the first time I pulled the belt through my jeans to remove, the elastic loop fell on the floor without me realizing and well caused a little confusion. Perhaps its just me. Again other than that tiniest of details, I absolutely love the belt and would recommend it. Fits no matter of my waistline up to the max of the belts actual length obviously. When ordering I suggest getting the size as close to and just barely over your current belt size. This belt cannot be trimmed like leather belts since it is bound at the end. I would recommend this also for those who might find the traditional buckle and pin to much to work with in a hurry. One properly placed squeeze ( never has it just popped opened) and the mechanism on this belt opens. This feature could be a benefit for those that experience challenges with buckles.

I like this belt. It looks good, is durable, and is adjustable. It would be 5 stars if it were cleaner cutting and the prongs were sturdier (one of the prongs bent, and I had to pull it out and hold pressure while clamping it down) when you are attaching the buckle. The ratchet works flawlessly and gives you about 6 inches of flexibility. The belt does not stretch so you have to use the ratchet to find your comfort spot. The color is bright. It goes well with my dress pants. Would buy this belt again.

So when this came in I was a little skeptical. I didn't realize it would have to be cut, and the ratchet buckle seemed a bit weird. I kept and open mind and really like it. My beautiful wife did the sizing and cutting, very easy for her. Looks great, seems pretty strong.

Love this belt. Took me a second to figure out how to get the buckle on, then very simple to use after that. Very quick and easy compared to old buckles with the pin and hole. Love it. To get the buckle on, slide the belt into the part where the spikey teeth are. It doesn't go in far. Just about an inch. I kept trying to get it in further, thought it was getting stuck on something, but that's all it needs in at that point. Then push the lever at the other end from the teeth down, so they sink into the belt. It's not too hard to do that part, considering how deep and firm the teeth set into the belt. I was really surprised. Make sure the belt is straight coming off the buckle. I had to undo it and straighten it which wasn't super easy to undo. Second time I got it perfect I think. Then just put it around yourself and slide the other side of the belt into the opposite side of the buckle. You can hear it click as it fastens. It doesn't undo at that point until you pull the little button at the top or bottom (depending which way you put the belt around you). Then it unfastens super easily. Have to keep holding the button out as you pull the belt all the way out of the buckle. If you let go before it's almost all the way out it fastens again, at whatever point you currently have it pulled out to. I feel like I made it sound like it's more difficult or confusing than it really is. Just getting the buckle in initially is the only marginally difficult part, and it really isn't difficult at all. Just takes some getting used to. Once the buckle is on, it's the easiest belt in the world to use, and quickest to get on or off in my opinion. Give it a try, you will love it too. Just make sure you get the right size. I'm about 6 feet tall and a bit over 210 pounds. Not a round person, but not skinny. Usually wear 34 waits. Fits me perfectly I think. If I were much smaller it would be too big, if I were a couple inches rounder it would be too small. Where I'm at now in size it fits me where I can adjust a bit still and it's great.

Let me preface this by saying a couple things. 1)I've only had this belt for a couple weeks, so I'm not sure on long term durability. 2) I'm a large male, 6'3" 290lbs, who is losing weight, so this information is based on a softer body type. That being said, this may be the best belt I've ever had. My first love, the buckle apparatus. Apparently I've been living in the 1500's. The ratcheting mechanism works incredible! I was concerned that I would inadvertently bump the lever that allows the buckle to release, but no problems so far. Next, the quality of the belt itself seems to be very nice. I typically like a little bit wider belt, but this is a great width. Also, the leather is very "solid" feeling. I recently bought a belt from a big name brand man company, and although in-store it felt solid, within a couple weeks it started to separate into multiple layers, and began to stretch... I don't want a stretchy black leather belt. Finally, it comes with the belt and buckle piece separated. It has areas indicated on the back of the belt where you can cut excess length of the belt, so you can customize the tail length. I love this. I like a longer tail on my belt, so it allowed my personal preference with a ton of locking adjustability still present. My only question is how long this will last. But, judging just from the "eye test" and having the belt in my hands, it appears too be very sturdy. And the price is superb!
