LIV and Let Die: The Inside Story of the War Between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf Hardcover – October 17, 2023

I learned many things about the LIV and the PGA Tour organizations while reading this book. If I told you exactly what I learned I'd give away critical information that you should buy the book to read about. If you are someone who likes to do your research and make up your own mind, then BUY THIS BOOK! I also learned something about that DeChambeau fella, the one who was eating double figure kilocalories daily in order to bulk up as if he were some WWE pronstar. It turns out, the fella stopped doing that in part, according to the research conducted for this book, because of his multiple daily "volcanic bowel movements". I've never read such a thing, but it makes perfect sense. You won't ever catch me eating that much ever now, for sure. And I will never not think about that fella's "volcanic bowel movements if I ever see that fella play golf on the tv again. Which, not to give away the book's plot, doesn't really seem likely anymore.

I am a big fan of Shipnuck, so maybe a little bias….. but if you want to know the WHOLE history of LIV you’ve come to the right place. Since this is so comprehensive on a subject with many characters to follow and a ton of angles and perspectives, my brain came close to overload. Not a quick or simple or amusing read, but a well balanced documentary and analysis.

As a new golf fan in the past year, I wanted a more in depth recounting of events that lead to LIV and what it is, etc. This book was perfect for me. And it's relatively a quick and easy fun read. I highly recommend!

The author, Shipnuck, paints a money grabbing picture of what Pro Golf has become. Will more money for the Pro Golfers make the game any better? The jury is still out. Surely the pre madonnas of the Pro Tour think so. Are the PGA AND LIV THE RIGHT AGENTS FOR CHANGE IN THE PRO GOLF WORLD? It remains to be seen.

Awesome book that gives a great perspective of the PGA tour and its response to LIV golf. The author didn’t hold back his criticism or blame on both sides. A great contrast of what you’ve read in the papers and what is reality. I have a friend who’s mentioned in the book and he said, it’s all true.

Fun read although be prepared to hear him bash Trump throughout. He can't seem to help himself. Keep your sad political opinions to yourself Alan. You must be ready to leave the country for the next 4 years! MAGA!

Great book by the author and no wonder weekend golfers are not tuning in to TV tournaments. The fact that pro golfers are considered “money whores” says it all and this book has the background information to justify that statement. I highly recommend this incredible book
