Be aware that this is meant to be used in Japan. The radio signal it uses to auto-set must not be available in the US - well at least not in S. California. The instruction manual is only in Japanese. I wasn't able to easily find a translated manual online.Nothing is actually wrong with the clock, it has a very understated & crisp design. You *can* manually set it. But no where in the item description does it mention what to expect in other countries.There is an M.set button you hold down for 3 seconds, then press it again to run the clock forward until you reach the current time, then press Rec. to set it. One thing to note: every so often it tries to find the radio signal again - all hands with go to 12 for about ~10 minutes. Once that fails it will go back to the time you set.

If price was little reasonable, I would have bought two. I wanted to give 9.5/10 for its design but a minuscule flaw on the seconds' hand kept me from it. Made in Japan. 目盛りも数字も省略なく描かれていますが、線の色とサイズでゴチャっと感が出ない文字盤がとても良いです。背面カバーが枠より後に飛び出ています。意図的なデザインなのかパーツの制限なのか不明ですが、背面が見える置き方だと多少気になります。ホワイトは(個人差はあると思いますが)視力0.7で3m以内なら十分読めます。6畳くらいの部屋なら壁掛けで使ってもよい感じです。途中でムーブメントがステップからスイープに変わったようですが、ステップの時からとても静かでした。文字盤は、MDF板で湿度が高いと歪みますし、ヤケて黄色っぽくなる等、値段の割に作りは安っぽいので、時計を完全な実用品と捉える人には向かないですね。

グレーの文字盤にブルーの針がオシャレで、直径20センチと小さめのサイジングに惹かれて購入しました。時計としては最高です。秒針も静かで音一つしません。但し、4〜5m以上離れると視力の悪い人にはグレー×ブルーが見えないらしく、秒針の白しか見えないそうですので、複数の人と共同で使用する場合はホワイトの文字盤を勧めます。

電波ステップムーブメントの時計を探していて、この時計の見た目がとても素敵だったので購入。届いてみるとスイープムーブメントでした。驚いて調べてみるとAmazonではステップムーブメントと書かれていましたが、サイトではスイープムーブメントだと…自分がもっと調べていればよかっただけですが、見た目が気に入っていただけに残念。時計自体は電波も問題なく拾えているし非常に静かで、とても良い時計だと思います。

作りがいいというのは開封してすぐわかりました。特に針の色が気に入りました。いい色だと思います。時間を見るたびにちょっといい気分になります。電波時計は数台買いましたが、この製品は電波の受信状況が非常に良好です。
