Solid product!
Great value from a lighting deal for this item at 20% off. Works well and very easy to use. When you open the box that fresh cedar smell refreshed you. It has a smooth quality finish. All you do is insert them on your boots or shoes and that’s it. When you put them in, you enable the stretching feature. I noticed it immediately because of my walking creases looked less noticeable. I ordered my shoe size and it fits nicely. I hope to see this product last a long time.

NOTE ON SIZING
First of all, this has been a very high quality product in my opinion. Cedar smells wonderul, very straight forward and easy to use design that works well. SIZING seems to be based on brannock sizing so DON'T base your purchase on your boot size if the manufacturer recommends sizing up or down. Example: My Red Wing Iron Rangers are a size 12 and the XL size rated for up to size 13 BARELY fits. So if you're a size 13 in Iron Rangers or another brand that fits similar, I would Recommend the XXL size.

Nice boot protection. Be careful on sizing.
These boot trees are solidly made and feel very durable. The one thing to watch out for is sizing; they run about one size small. For example, if you normally wear a 12 Wide, skip the recommended size and go straight to the XXL for a proper fit. Once you get the right size, they do exactly what you want, keeping your boots in good shape and they have a rich cedar smell. What really sets these apart is the customer service from Houndsbay. Absolutely first rate. They stand behind their products and are quick to help with any issues or questions. That level of support is rare and makes the purchase well worth it.

Nice boot trees!
I bought these for a pair of Grant Stone Ottawa’s in black cxl. I have 4 pairs of GS’s now and all of them have these boot trees because all of my shoes are boots now. These help keep the shape of your boots and helps keep them dry after a full day of wear. These are expensive but I figured they are only w one time purchase and can be used with any pair of boots that I own or will own in the future. These fit perfectly and helps keep the shape of my boots. I like my boots to stay new looking for the most part even though I am kinda tough on my boots. I own 7 different pairs of boots, 3 from Thursday Boot Company and 4 from Grant Stone so I can wear a different pair of boots every day of the week. All my boots are Goodyear welted so they will last me a decade if not longer, especially since I can wear a different boot every day of the week. This means that I would wear my boots 52 times per year. I work from home so I rarely leave the house so the boots I have will last me my entire life before I need a resole. I am always in the lookout for sales on these boot trees because if you have a nice pair of boots these are a necessity. My boots range from $199-$380 so they aren’t cheap. Keeping them in good shape is a good thing.

Well made, fit great, will buy more
These arrived yesterday. I have several pairs of shoe trees. All of them cedar. This is my first pair from houndsbay. These are the freshest cedar. That beautiful cedar fragrance popped out of the box when I opened them. They are vibrant cedar red. These boot trees fit perfectly in my Thursday Captains. The metal quality, spring tension and build quality all feel very solid. I would buy these again.

They work, simple to use. decent spring tension. you won't be able to use these for stretching or anything like that, they are only basic trees.

Have had these boot trees for about a week now and they seem pretty good. Nice smell of cedar, sized right and they hold the form of my boots well. Bought them for a pair of Iron Rangers. Got the size L. My Iron Rangers are a size 9D and these trees fit perfectly.

These cedar boot trees do what they're advertised. But be careful when using them. Just make sure they fit the toe area properly and don't stretch your material. With me I got them for my doc martens when I clean and condition them. Putting the cedar trees in the boot caused the leather to stretch on the outside of the toe. I made sure they were on the right sides of the boot (left and right) just to confirm. I plan to file and sand down the front parts so they fit my boots better. If you use them for steel toe boots this shouldn't be a problem. Also, when using the boot trees, check the inside heel of your boots to make sure it's not torn or ripped in any way. Otherwise the boot trees will dig into the heel and make it worse.
