GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker XL Camping Chair - Indigo Blue

If you're looking for a comfortable chair, you have come to the right spot. This chair is comfortable with enough room that it doesn't pinch your legs when you sit down. We have 2 of these chairs and take them out whenever the weather is nice enough. I love the easy foldup, but that took a little bit to figure it out. Once you do, it's a piece of cake. The rocking feature is so calm and soothing. Great chair for camping, yours kids games or just hanging out in your yard.

Comfortable chair that unfolds into a very stable rocker. I bought this chair to replace a bulky uncomfortable reclining folding chair that was heavy and not easily portable. The only con is that the chair is a little hard to fold and unfold. I’m sure that is just a learning curve issue. The overall appearance and quality appear to be good and it has two convenient handles, one for carry and one to assist in folding the chair.

The GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker XL Portable Camp Chair is exactly as ordered. The chair is lightweight and the handle great for carrying. Easy to setup and collapse. The color is dark exactly as shown, comfortable to sit in with space and no concern for getting stuck in the chair upon standing. The rocking motion is fluent even on stony ground. Material is a bit stiff, however I feel this will soften some with use. The pockets for phone and cup are a nice added feature, however, oversized XL water bottles wont fit.This review is from a brief interaction with the chair, will add to this review if anything changes with use of the chair.

Oh I love my XL rocker chair! I am plus size, 350 pounds and this chair is comfortable and I dont feel like I am going to break it! It is around the same weight as your typical bag chair. It folds up flat into a square almost, so you do have to carry it by the leg or wherever you can grab comfortably but for the comfort and support and being able to rock, it is worth it to me. This is a very sturdy chair, I feel like it will hold up for many years. You literally just pull the arms and it opens up. To close it, just pull up on the middle of the seat! Very easy to assemble. It also does have a cup holder and a storage spot that holds my bulky iphone 13 max which is nice!

I'm plus-size. This not only fits my seat, but also my weight or if you are smaller for yourself and a child. It has a heavy-duty, wider steel frame designed to support a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. I think it would support more than 400, but I'm sure for legal reasons they stop at 400 pounds. I have had middle school kids on my lap rocking with me and I am plus-size. I've had these chairs for 5+ years and no issues at all.It is approximately 34.5 inches tall, 25.5 inches wide, and the seat is about 20 inches off the ground making it easier for seniors to get out of.Storing and carrying this to and from the car is a disadvantage. It is cumbersome and has some weight to it. Maybe around 15 pounds. My preference it the heavy-duty versus compact size.If a beverage holder is important to you, get one with a fold out side table. The attached works, but it is all about preferences.I love this chair for long ballgames or touraments. When I am in charge of the babies and toddlers at events, I can rock them to sleep or rock to entertain. The rocking motion helps not only pass time, but allows me to sit longer without needing to walk around. My comfort is important too. I would also recommend for camping, tailgating, or fishing.Watch for sales. You don't have to spend $100. They come in multiple colors in most sporting goods stores like Academy Sports.

When I first saw this chair, a couple was enjoying music in the park and I noticed that they were rocking back and forth? I was flabbergasted, not realizing that these were designed as rockers! I asked the couple if indeed, these camp chairs were rockers and the husband jumped up, telling me that the first time he saw them was in a park and he had a similar response to mine, asking the guy in the chair if it was indeed, a camp chair rocker? That guy had my guy sit in the chair, which my guy had me do after he explained his story to me. It was comfortable and it rocked! He said that he had taken a picture of the chair, so he wouldn't forget. I immediately went on to Amazon and ordered 2 chairs (but the XL, because I'm a big guy). My only note is, the chair could be a little bit deeper, meaning the seating surface. When I naturally sit down on the chair, it "feels" like my knees are a long way from the seating surface, making me feel the need to sit more upright. However, after sitting in the chair for a couple of hours in the park a couple of weeks ago (listening to music, as it happens), the chair was very comfortable and I didn't even notice if I was sitting upright or slouching a little. Maybe it will be different after an entire weekend camping, but right now this chair is a winner in my book! Highly recommend!

Love my chair. It's nice and wide. Great for bigger people. Very sturdy, I have the freestyle, and the stowaway. The stowaway looks more heavy duty and the back is taller, and the padding on the arms is much thicker. But I like them both. For the 100$ difference in price I stuck with the freestyle for this purchase. If you can get the stowaway for the same price, it's a better built chair, but not as wide.
