EM6 Waffen-SS Uniforms in Colour Photographs (Europa Militaria)

A great study of Waffen SS camouflage pattern clothing. I bought this book as a reference to paint a 1/16th scale figure. Previous painting guides tend to be a small sample of the pattern and colours - this book has colour photographs of the real articles worn by re-enactors, so you can clearly see how the clothing fits and where the pattern seams begin and end. It also shows the variations in colour (due to wear and tear or being originally manufactured by a different supplier). Note: this book also covers the normal field grey uniforms / greatcoat and all personal equipment too. Excellent resource.

So much in this, obviously written by an enthusiast of the subject. Great attention to detail for any re-enacters

If you like military history or an interest in German Army or SS then this book is pretty good.

I was rather concerned before purchasing the book by the notion of posed "Re Enactors". In the event the poses are "naturalistic" and do not detract at all from the sheet excellence of the photos. The colours are vibrant and clear, making this, together with the titles by Wade Krawczyk, among the very best resources for Modellers. There really is no comparison with Drawings and the somewhat vague colour tones.

a very good read indeed, the text/photograph interface is excellent, should appeal to re-enactors and modellers alike, I am still picking it up-dipping in and putting it down even this long after purchase. I find I am using it to check out original photographs for description, nomenclature, portage and the like.

great reference book for inspiration when painting miniatures - it is nice to have colour pictures of actual garments - even allowing for fading over the years, the poses will help with shading uniforms whilst painting.

This is perfect to get the colours and other uniform details just right, as this is just what the book deals with.

The book missing pages and is cut in many places, poor quality and disgusting pages .
