YakTrax are a necessity for me in winter. My driveway is very steep, we have tons of snow in the winter and in order to get anywhere on my property, I need traction. The large size fits over my snow boots and works for all my winter walking needs.

I have used these for 2+ years and have not slipped or fallen in that time. Even the frost on our deck can't make me slip. I have purchased them for all those that I care about and they are using them and loving them. Just have to remember to put them on!!! And it is so easy to do. Just remember that tile and linoleum floors are slippery to them, so take them off when off go inside.

I buy these because they WORK on ice...but the coils seem to unravel thru winter and catch on carpeting...I have to buy new ones more often than I'd like.

This product is very useful in snowy or icy weather. We walk our dogs outside in all weather, and putting these over our shoes or boots gives the extra traction needed to keep from slipping. This is the second time we’ve ordered them for ourselves, not to mention many pairs we've given as gifts.

Perfect. I have 2 pairs. They are 2 pairs of my boots. They’ll be there until spring. I am so secure walking with them.

We walk, the dog and I, down a moderate hill, twice a day. Dog, no problem. Me, could be a problem. The snow packs to ice, then melts, then re-freezes to black ice. You're not an ice climber, right? But then you are. Vibram soles or whatever, they DO NOT HAVE TRACTION ON ICE. Seems ridiculous to buy tiny suburban crampons to walk your dog. Not at all. My doctor says no more concussions. And go to the gym.

These are the best for snow. No slippage.

Have been using these for weeks before snow just too try out now the snow although small amount is here they work well on snow/ice no slips or slides I have hip replacements so stability is a must usual walk is now 95%..still early days but I recommend them one thing is they tend too break easily but even then they hold Thier ground..still safe I'm going too buy again I'm that confident in thier ability too keep me safe. Ich habe diese Steigeisen für meinen Wanderurlaub bestellt, da es manchmal eisig werden kann und man einfach froh ist, etwas über die Schuhe ziehen zu können, um nicht zu rutschen. Normalerweise haben Steigeisen ja Zacken, was mir bei der Flugreise etwas Sorgen bereitet hat – vor allem, ob ich sie im Handgepäck mitnehmen darf. Deshalb habe ich mich für dieses Modell entschieden. Der Preis war absolut in Ordnung und die Qualität des Produkts hat mich positiv überrascht. Was ich besonders gut finde, ist, dass es keine spitzen Zacken oder ähnliches gibt, die herausstehen – daher gibt es keinerlei Bedenken, ob man die Steigeisen im Flugzeug mitnehmen darf. Ich würde diese Steigeisen definitiv wieder kaufen, da sie praktisch, sicher und einfach zu benutzen sind. Klare 5 Sterne!

Facile à enfiler, très efficace dans la neige fraîche et gelée.

Pas facile en région parisienne d'affronter la neige et le verglas. Soit on doit s'équiper de chaussures adaptées... et assumer les moonboots au bureau... soit garder ses chaussures ... et se retrouver sur les fesses dans la rue. Ces "chaines pour chaussures" sont la solution idéale. Initialement on les utilisait en montagne mais cet hiver elles nous ont bien servi dans les rues de Paris. On les a utilisé sur des chaussures de ville pour homme, et sur des bottines femmes. Comme elles sont en caoutchouc elles ne laissent aucunes traces et se rangent dans un petit sac plastique en journée. J'ai bien une dizaine de mes collègues qui en ont acheté les jours suivant :D Parfait pour la neige mais aussi la bouillasse des jours qui suivent. Pour le verglas cela fonctionne aussi mais c'est surtout adapté à la bouillasse
