Pastry excellent but not a lot of meat.

the pies DO NOT cook all over the lid cooks first and the rest does not cook even after extending the cooking time the under pastry is uncooked.

This make of canned pie so gross like never again will I buy not even worth £1 put me off pie for life

These are pies that we grew up with in England. They come in a tin, you take the lid off with an opener and put in the oven. The top puffs up like flaky pastry, about 3 inches, and underneath is a soft pasty, some think it is soggy, but it is not, it is what makes a Fray Bentos pie a Fray Bentos pie. Then there is a rich beefy gravy, now this is England, we do not eat as much as here in the USA, so there is little meat filling, so do not expect large chunks like in a Marie Colanders. But it is not fake chewy meat either and they are much nicer, at least I think so. And in England they cost less than $5 so that is why they have little meat in them. Now Amazon please look at the pictures, DO NOT SEND THEM IN A PAPER BAG!! I received a box of gloves in a huge box with bubble wrap and these came in a bag??? Buy them and see, do them with chips aka French fries, and bread and butter, and if you dare,... a pickled onion!

I have been wanting these for a long time. It definitly was worth the effort to locate someone who could get them to me. Fantastic flavour and the crust rose higher than I expected. So glad I can get them again!!!

Love the product, just wish it would arrive so I could enjoy it.... estimated delivery was 24 Jun... as of writing this it is 27 Aug and I have not recieved it so I could enjoy these.
